Hello , I have never replied to any of your many lessons, and want you to know how much you have made my life better by helping me play these songs. I am 50 yrs old and wish i had these when i was younger. Thank you
Whenever I want a feel good moment, I turn to this channel. So many great videos and we love your style and eloquent touch. Wishing you the very best James !
Really enjoyed this. One of the things I have learned from watching your videos over the years is the importance of listening more carefully to the original recording. I completely missed that low B in the opening strum. Now that you point it out, it seems so obvious listening to the recording. Many thanks!
I really appreciate the time you take to make these lessons, AND the fact that you don't spoon feed them note for note. That whole "give a man a fish vs teach a man to fish" thing. PS: half the fun of your videos is seeing what crazy/cool shirt you are wearing. LOL
I like how Keith changed the rhythm in the verse when Mick sings "all yo sickness, I can shrug it off, throw it at may ....there's one thing bae, I don't understand, you keep on tellin me I ain't yo kind of man. Very cool.
I have that same shirt. You’re an excellent player and teacher. A man of wealth and taste. I just discovered your channel. I been watching most of this afternoon.
Standard tuning for sure...people get obsessed with that image of Keith playing the 5 string "Micawber" Tele, they think he did every song like that and he still plays standard a lot, Some Girls has only a couple open G tunes...
Thanks for your videos. I play this in standard tuning with a capo on the fourth fret C G Am F C. On the G chord I only fret the low E and A strings. There is a full G chord in the chorus. This is probably not a perfectly accurate way of playing this song, but it sounds pretty close after you get a feel for the hammer-ons.
...good info " ...I've always played it open G ...but ur explanation makes sense....PS video stopped half way through...not audio but the video ....thx again........well..scratch that ...the video issue was on my end ...sry
Love the Some Girls album and tour loved the sound the custom guitar Ronnie used got on that tour and the Phasor100 guitar pedal used in that particular period James says keep it positive but thought the lyrics on Beast of Burden. got a little cornily pop (also check out Outlaws Bring it back alive there is a reason the Stones let them open on my favorite Stones tour '78)
Have you ever figured out if Ronnie Wood plays something different than Keith? There’s so much interplay between them on this. I believe Ronnie takes the solo.
My gosh I miss this guy!!!!
Many do 😊
@@truckerkevthepaidtourist What happened to him? Just moved on from youtube or?
One of the absolute best songs to experience with a really good pair of headphones. The stereo mix is phenomenal on this song!
So true. What else? For me: czcams.com/video/QOBpzVksZmI/video.html

Thanks Brian. That’s definitely how I’ve seen Keith play it live.
I have that same shirt. You’re an excellent player and teacher. A man of wealth and taste. I just discovered your channel. I been watching most of this afternoon.
I think you just called him the devil. ;)
I was in a stones tribute nd never even thought of playing it in open G, played exactly the same you did.
Awesome James《☆》Both Telies sound great but the Goldtop is stunning with a Firebird like mini hum :*: Thanks for the clarification on Beast🤓☮👍🏾🤳
The song that hooked me when you played the pink tele back in the PT days!
Love all the guitars !
Thats an amazing axe man ,thanks

JJ you are the best old friend.
Wow your tone man - super- I always capo it on the 4th fret when I play it- I’ll try the thumb style next time

Made my Monday night. I was just playing Night Moves. Now I'll have to switch.
That phase-shifter is sure a cool effect...
...good info " ...I've always played it open G ...but ur explanation makes sense....PS video stopped half way through...not audio but the video ....thx again........well..scratch that ...the video issue was on my end ...sry
Hey. Great explanation and guitar sound.
I used to drink Genny cream all the time when I was younger, Genny light when I was older.
That was cool how u grab yer second custom delux...ya! To that 😛👍
Standard all the way...your right
Most excellent! I have to say much too hard for me, but I enjoy.
La madre que te parió James James!!!.....qué bueno que eres!!!!!...the best of youtubers!!!!.....larga vida a esos dedos!!!!!
It's a tough riff!
That axe is sweet
Of the 2 schecters I've seen you play...I like the black one best...but I see why you like the gold one too
Love the Some Girls album and tour loved the sound the custom guitar Ronnie used got on that tour and the Phasor100 guitar pedal used in that particular period James says keep it positive but thought the lyrics on Beast of Burden. got a little cornily pop (also check out Outlaws Bring it back alive there is a reason the Stones let them open on my favorite Stones tour '78)
Even plugging into the jack was phased.
Ha, didn’t notice that.
Like your Plymouth diecast.
the riff reminds sweet jane
Yes you ended the debate: standard tuning. I think the Ron Wood portion is also very fine.
never whack it too enthusiastically !!
Another quality lesson. Is that a Schecter Saturn?
damned!!! i got the same teeshirt !!
Thumbnail made me believe Bruce Lee would be teaching
Thank you, this sounds so perfect. Are you using the phase shifter included in your amp or you using a separate one?
I usually use a Small Stone, but this time I used the amp effect.
Thanks, it sounds great!
Just got my lefty pt in black , mint £375 uk love it
Niiiice.
Phase shifter required 🤠🎸
Great lesson. Great song. Just curious what is your occupation
Standard tuning for sure....not a doubt..always was and is

What kind of Phaser do u use ?... MXR ?...
Are you playing through a compressor?
I can't get my thumb around all the may to mute the A and play that chord at once. Any suggestions?
Just butter it and keep going.
Don't do this at home 2:02
Are you using a phase shifter or something?
Phase shifter.
Bad ass, I thought it was standard tuning
Am I hearing chorus or flanger? Sorry if you said it and I missed it. Thank you!
Phaser.
@@jamesjames9275 thank you
Live Keith manages to play things in just about any tuning it seems
Well, he only plays about 30% of the chords these days. He performs songs rather than playing them. :)
@@jamesjames9275 good point
phase shifter?
Yes, Electroharmonix Small Stone. I'm partial to those.
Sorry I want to you explaint detail ? Until finish brader , because we needed explaint detail ok thanks before 🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I wonder how it would sounded this tune iwth Mick T
Different!
Flanger? Chorus??
Phase shifter.
