Dude! What a cool video. As a professional designer who has designed many movie posters, let me tell you that these are pretty fire.
I liked your original one a lot. It really captured the feel of the movie's ad campaign. I am however, glad that you went away from that look to try a few other styles.
I love the graphic treatment of second poster you did. That is probably my favorite of them all. Personally I might have used halftone instead of the soft gradient to darken the bottom and for the edge of the moon. I feel the halftone is more true to the sort of lo-fi, yet clean graphic approach.
As for the third design, I definitely see what you were going for, but it's difficult to capture that vintage poster feel because they were usually painted by hand. Turning your photos to high contrast black and white and then recoloring might help. A billing block and the keyline around the whole thing would also add to that old school flavor. Personally, I think I like your all black variant as much, or maybe a little more.
All in all, great stuff, Kirk! I'd love to see more of these and I hope you didn't mind my 2¢ on your designs.

those ended up really cool. I've wanted to do stuff like this with my toy photos but don't have access to any good editing software, though I did do a simple one where I recreated the poster for '3 men and a baby' with characters from mandalorian that turned out pretty good.
