Jamaican Style Steam fish with Coconut milk

INGREDIENTS ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️
3 whole snapper fish
3 tsps Maggi Allpurpose seasoning (more or less)
Black pepper and sea salt to taste
1 - 2 tbsps Green seasoning
• JAMAICAN GREEN SEASONI...
2 tbsps butter
1 onion, cut into strips
3 stalks scallion, diced
1 small tomato, diced
1 large carrot, cut into strips
Fresh thyme
2 tsps whole Allspice berries
1 whole Scotch bonnet pepper
Grace Fish Tea seasoning pack (use to taste)
2 - 3 cups water
1 - 2 cups coconut milk
6 or more Okras, chopped
Water crackers

Not true. Many people add a tomato slice or 2. I'm Jamaican. Everyone in my family uses bits of tomato. None add crackers or okra we use that in making stew fish. Steam fish we eat with white rice. Personally, I don't like crackers in my fish. To each their own.

You are disrespectful. Traditional cooking methods were based on limitations of ingredients. Variety is the spice. When I was a kid no one steamed fish with crackers. Things change ideas evolve. People can anything to suit their pallette. LP
