Paul, interesting stuff, I also am a 5 handicapper (senior) currently gaming JPX 919 forged, recoil shafts, but seriously considering the new 425s. However, with a moderate swing speed like Andrew I am concerned with my swing speed the descent angle may be too shallow and also not enough spin. Any descent angle below 40 degrees is problematic and not stopping on firm greens. Andrew can change his strong r/h grip for a higher flight, I need to lose 30 years! Thanks for the video.
I’ve just had a fitting for these and had a launch angle of 20 degrees with a fade and the height and spin were spot on.
They are a great option for a lot of players. Mizuno really did a great job with these.

Landing angle is too shallow with combined with that low of spin, and low height, he won't be able to stop anything. He's probably better off in the JPX HM High Launch to increase or at the most JPX Forged. Did you try either of those heads, would have liked to see the comparisons.
He likes that ball flight and it was a goal to replicate it and give him more distance which we did. He has a very strong grip that won’t produce a high ball flight with any club. He is a low single digit golfer who plays in the windiest place on the planet. Not ideal when you look at numbers but exactly what he wanted. Thanks for watching

@@paulkellygolf3671 Have him come to Kansas where we play in a high winds ( I played last Tuesday in what we call a breeze 28-38 MPH wind ) where the greens are hard and dried out all year and he wont stop nothing on the greens here , he wont be a single digit HC here for very long ! I just club up 2-4 clubs and hit my normal high shot and I hit greens!
@@shanewilliams1216 you are overlooking one major issue. He isn’t playing in Kansas, he is playing here where this works perfect for him. Why would I fit him for hard greens of Kansas when it’s a world away from where he plays? I’m not going to argue a fitting that the client liked and met his exact goals. BTW St. John’s where we live is in the top 5 windiest cities in the world as ranked by every significant weather organization. We understand wind.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I have done numerous fittings with the 245 and height is not an issue. Andrew is able to hit the ball high when he wants. He chooses to hit the ball low for a reason. We live in one of the top 5 windiest cities in the world. His ball flight is exactly what he wants due to the conditions we play in. Everyone thinks where they live is windy until they play here.
He has no ball spin on a 7 iron though, 3000-4000 with a low ball flight isnt stopping on the green .
I play in Kansas winds and hit the ball high with tons of spin with my fitted PXG irons ( 7500-8500) and I just club up one or 2 and hit into the wind and I have been playing this way for 40 years now and it works for me . I am 63 and carry a 8 HC .
He plays to a 5 handicap and has the exact ball flight he wants for our winds which are constant and high.
Wow pretty consistent with that strong grip and closed club face. No mention of what iron he was hitting but is there a shaft that can help him get the ball in the air so it can stop on the greens? Love Mizuno ,but these lofts are so strong and you need more speed to create the spin. I hit them much longer but I have the similar issues.
He is very happy with his current ball flight. The shaft was exactly what he wanted with regards to feel, dispersion and distance. Andrew did not want a higher ball flight. Andrew lives in a city that is consistently ranked between 3rd and 5th windiest cities in THE WORLD. I know everyone thinks where they live is windy but unless you are ranked first or second you aren’t as windy as St. John’s. We play in 60-70 kph winds more often than 10-20 mph. A good fitting will listen to what the client wants, while explaining limitations on that fitting. This was done

How this thing measuring a smash factor in the 1.40s on a 7 iron? At a mid 70's CHS there is no way he'd be getting 110+ ball speeds on these.

thanks for the comment. Andrew's ball flight is exactly what he wants. He is a low handicap player who plays in the windiest place in the world. His low draw is by design and not a fault.
Land angles are too shallow. I’d have him try a different head to improve launch conditions.
We did and discussed that in detail during the fitting.. He has a very strong grip which he likes and has managed to get to a 5 handicap. Those landing angles won't change with that much club closure. Thanks for watching

Like others here say. The land angle is too low, the spin is too low, so that is not a good fitting!
And like I keep saying the clients goals were discussed before the fitting and that’s the exact flight he wanted and is used to. We achieved his desired ball flight and tightened up dispersion so it’s a great fitting. You probably have no idea what the wind is like here.
So where is the windiest place on the planet? You keep referring to that.

Thanks for watching. He is not hooking it excessively. He is hitting it straight and low which is exactly what he wants to do. He lives in one of the windiest places in the world and a high ball flight is extremely undesirable.
Dude needs to fix his grip first and foremost.
His grip gives him the shot he needs for where he plays. He is a low single digit handicap who plays the n the windiest place on the planet. He’s doing fine
