Fixing and painting engine bay on Golf MK2 GTD

Im doing the same thing to my car im about to paint the engine bay. But thankfully my car it’s very solid only a small surface rust..

@@honestmileage5225 it’s a California car so it’s very solid. My car it’s a 16v but the engine it’s bad I’m swapping a 20v turbo now. I’m painting the engine bay the same color red.

Red 20v turbo sounds nice! I had 1.8t in an old audi s3 and it was really good and interesting car to drive 👍

was that a donor part that you cut or brand new panel?

It was a brand new panel. But I got it locally from one guy who planned to do resto on his golf, but then he rather sold it and he was selling this unused part separately. I was unable to find this part in any shop :/ part number is 191809101h

Cauko vidím že si zo Slovenska. Tiež mám golfa 2jku a robím renováciu. Odkiaľ prosím ťa zhanas plecharinu? Potrebujem ľavé obe dvere aj blatník ak by si vedel pomôcť

Ahoj, plecharinu zhanam rozne, lebo uz je toho dostupneho pomenej, takze nieco z allegra, ebayu, pripadne vw heritage. Plus teda lokalne ak sa da. Co sa tyka blatniku tak skus pozriet depoauto, bral som od nich par veci. Ale dvere budu asi problem, zo zahranicia bude drahy dovoz. Takze skor najst nieco lokalne na bazosi alebo na fb v skupine vw retro club slovakia. Drzim palce 👍
