@@honestmileage5225 my golf mk2 is pretty rusty in the trunk area, I was thinking using this for the rust at least it will slow it down.

It was a brand new panel. But I got it locally from one guy who planned to do resto on his golf, but then he rather sold it and he was selling this unused part separately. I was unable to find this part in any shop :/ part number is 191809101h

Ahoj, plecharinu zhanam rozne, lebo uz je toho dostupneho pomenej, takze nieco z allegra, ebayu, pripadne vw heritage. Plus teda lokalne ak sa da. Co sa tyka blatniku tak skus pozriet depoauto, bral som od nich par veci. Ale dvere budu asi problem, zo zahranicia bude drahy dovoz. Takze skor najst nieco lokalne na bazosi alebo na fb v skupine vw retro club slovakia. Drzim palce 👍

@@honestmileage5225 it’s a California car so it’s very solid. My car it’s a 16v but the engine it’s bad I’m swapping a 20v turbo now. I’m painting the engine bay the same color red.

Red 20v turbo sounds nice! I had 1.8t in an old audi s3 and it was really good and interesting car to drive 👍

Thanks for your appreciation of my work 😊 I was looking into the footage videos for this episode, first was on 25th of january, last was 22nd of february, so in real time it took me a month to do all the work showed, but i do it only as an aftework activity. Anyway most of the time was fixing the rail, so if you are doing only the floor panel, you can do it in 2-3 working days. Depends on how much rust you will find out when you cutout the floor. Oh yeah, it would be too easy if our cars are just working as expected. You need to find routes with more right turns then :) Jokes aside, I hope you will find a new steering rack for a reasonable price soon ;)

That's sounds like a nice golf setup you have there :) I had a MK1 with 1.6 8v and it was a decent ride, so 2.0 16v must be a beast in that chasis :) And MK2 with 1.8T even more. I would love to try that combination one day.

That car is completely shot! not worth any effort and money to have it rebuilt. Spain, Italy, Bosnia you can easily find solid condition body shell for 1000 to 1500€
