Pierre “Turbopolsa” Silfver wasn’t, by his own admission, a great student. But he knew one thing for sure - he could play Rocket League.
When he took a long shot on a substitute position it did more than make his career - it made Rocket League history. Starting from the unlikeliest of beginnings, Turbopolsa’s name is now synonymous with the thing everyone wants, but only a few can have - championship wins. This is the Story of Turbopolsa.

Another good one is the story of GarretG, by sunless kahn. Its about the guy crying at the end when he won it with NRG. Kind of twists in how he kept getting beat by turbo.

@@laids3933 Yeah that one was my favorite. Litterally cant stop the tears when you see him so happy at the end. Took years of being near the top time after time, and after 8 seasons, finally gets what he deserves.
Turbo is the perfect example of the true hardcore competitor.
All game, high expectations, insanely consistent. What a god.
If Rocket League was a big of a Esport as CSGO, DOTA, LOL etc., he would be considered one of the greatest esport players of all time.
Seeing his rise has been insane and for me he is a fundamental part of the RLCS as a whole.

In the second hes a solid Player and in the third he is on a good pace to put him next to the 16 best players of tm. In this style

Season 8 world champion Turbopolsa/NRG
Season 9 EU champion ViolentPanda/Dignitas (no world championship due to covid)
Bro that storyline would have been so good if COVID didn’t happen
and in Season 8 the 3 teams of them (NRG, Vitality and Dignitas) were all in the top 4 of the championship. Vitality won the semi final over Diginitas in game 7 and it was a close fucking match.

I still remember that first rlcs he played in, absolutely unreal watching that go down. It was like a movie. I stopped watching rocket league Midway through the next season, had no idea how far turbo made it. Absolutely incredible
Coming back to this as he just announced his retirement, a truly amazing career. Can't wait to see what he does in the future ❤
Now we need kaydop and Violent panda's story to fill out the all star roster
Especially panda, i like to see his perspective of being the leader of the most succesfull team in rocket league
@@allahhorford3131 100% think pandas story could be really cool also with thinking about if covid didn't happen i had high hopes that dig coulda taken RLCS season 9 worlds. yukeo always seems to perform better on LAN IMO and dig were region champs NRG were in a slump it was there year to take it panda missing out on the 3 times because of it

Crazy how Turbo demoed Kaydop, his former friend and teammate to prevent him from receiving the pass from ViolentPanda that he could've put directly in NRG's net. This lead to Garret being able to lob it downfield for jstn to score. Turbopolsa quite literally took the World Championship from Kaydop's hands and also earned back the MVP medal he gave away to him.
Man, when The Score uploads a Rocket League vid, you just KNOW it’s gonna be good. The Intro gave me shivers.
This gave me a whole new perspective on the JSTN buzzer beater since I saw NRG as the underdog but now I see that Turbo on Dig was also an underdog all along. Turbopolsa's humble and team-oriented attitude is really inspiring!
Finally my favorite esport makes a showing on the amazing story telling of turbos rise to glory. By far my favorite yet. Can't wait for more

Now that you mention it, I actually can’t think of a more difficult game lol, sure luck plays a factor in the game but skill is overwhelmingly the main contributor to success.
Overwatch is harder.
Playing casually rocket league and not taking it seriously: champ 1 at 300h
Tryharding most ow: high plat 600h+ champ is basically masters in ow, supersonic is mid-high gm. And im really into fps and puzzle games aswell as doing lots of research on it.
Personally rocket league is easy compared to ow.
Also with the sheer competition in games like dota and csgo where you can be set for life, sorry but rocket league isnt that hard
@@darkwolf1739 Sounds like you're just naturally good at RL, honestly. Took me 2x the time to hit C1 than it took to hit Masters in OW. The thing that differentiates RL isn't /difficulty/, it's purity. There's no RNG (so IDK wtf Thomas was talking about luck..), there's nothing to *be* imbalanced, there's no pass button... just basically a really fast physics sandbox. Every other esport has some element of intentional rock-paper-scissors imbalance or RNG. RL has none.
@@darkwolf1739 the thing with overwatch is that it is an FPS. If you are good at aiming in any game it can translate to others. The thing with Rocket league is that there is no other gane like it. It is so unique in its design and fundamentals which makes it difficult

All I learned from this video is that Kaydop and jstn are gods
I will still always remember Dig beating NRG after JSTN's goal. I was cheering for Turbo during that, but man if NRG had won that game I honestly feel like Rocket League esports would have been pushed to a new crazy level. The storyline of the zero second goal by the young prodigy to force OT in game 7 and then go on to win the series would have been such a massive boost and something I think a ton of non video game fans would have been able to understand, and I honestly feel like RL esports would have been propelled to a level on par with the other biggest esports in the world had NRG won that. Instead we got the anti-climax of my favorite pudge getting his 3 time and being the face/storyline which was just fine too
