My first RC car Race at the Nationals... this is racing

- We visit the 2nd round of the BRCA MTC Nationals hosted by Newark Radio control car club. The 2 hour journey meant I started early to get there in time for racing. I take the amazing Carten M210F out in the 2wd rubber class.
I was without Mark so a massive thank you to Lena and Tom and the guys from AORCC for pitting with me and helping get footage while I was racing.
Big shout out to Ian from Rochester RC another first timer at the Nations who took the time to speak about his experience.
There was some super close RC Car racing on an amazing RC car track. so much fun to be had with these little speed machines.
Great racing and video....yep must be in the running for pass of the year...👍
It was like the Matrix I saw it all unfold in slow motion and the line was there …

Ran in my first touring car race a couple days ago in novice with a 25.5 turn scale spec car (in the states). My last visit to the club I picked up an old VBC chassis slider from another member along with his spares. Tons of fun and I'm really enjoying your racing content. It keeps that excitement going and I look forward to the next event 🍻

Great video Carl, impressive getting it edited and out so so quickly. And well done to your camera helpers, nice to see lots of footage of your car. And the car had good pace in the Finals, was fun to run together on a few occasions.

That looks like a load of fun, and crikey those M chassis cars are quick! I used to run a Tamiya M07 at my local club (Stevenage) but it was lacking in gearing options so I stopped running it. It was a great handling car though, and pretty sturdy. I'd be tempted to do some MTC racing at some point....
There are options to improve the gearing of the M07. I was running my M07 at this event, qualifying and finishing A3 in the 2wd class. Held my own against all but the absolute fastest Xpress drivers, and I think there's more to come from my car yet.
@@adamburgess1982 Nice one mate. I did fit the Factory Pro RC 33-tooth spur gear to my M07, and it was rather rapid with a 36-tooth pinion. Sadly I sold my M07 recently, might get something else when I'm working again.
