You also used it in "Upon the altar". This song became the theme of that author for me, and you put it in, actuating cool scenes with surgical accuracy in both stories.

I became a member of The Dark Family through this exact story, "The Last Man of Faith". I listened to it, forgot about it, and about a year later remembered it and started frantically searching through the internet like a madman, unsure if it even existed or was just a dream. When I've finally found it, it was just as good as I remembered and I stayed on the channel.
So yeah, this piece evokes really weird feelings within me.
Dude your music for these stories is always so cool. It REALLY helps the immersion, along with the sound effects you add and the intonation of your reading and acting. This song is no less so.

Since man was afforded the luxury of spare time, safety and security by his hearth with his children and tribe gathered, he has continually strived to tell his story. Whether it be; blowing air through a hollow bone, the singing tales of Creation, the Gods, Chaos, the Dark of Night, our Sun etc., Orpheus would weave those stories and sang them to his fellow crew mates aboard the Argo with his lyre. Beautiful church choirs, Gregorian chants and even to our modern age with the many musical instruments we have triumphantly conquered~ Man has ALWAYS sought to tell his story. Our lives are but a musical number given to the soundtrack of time. We share our memories, experiences, lives and the beauty in the world through musical expression. What you did with this piece was just that.. I heard a story. I pictured a man troubled by his thoughts of existence and time and his place in life. Whether metaphorical or literal, a man climbing a mountain of sorts. Driving and pushing himself to find his song, his niche in life. I love what you did with this track Dearest Som ☺, it was brilliant! You've accomplished what most strive to do their whole lives in just a couple minutes...you told a story. I loved it so much!

There's primitive eerieness about the sound, like an old ceremony taking place. People living in harsher eras trying to survive in the elements, going hungry, being prey to larger animals in the wild. So desperate, they would beg anything to help them, and without understanding what their collective voices are calling to, something from the void answered back.

Not this story this was composed for in particular, but I've listened to some of the stories you've narrated on other channels. But none come close to the atmosphere you create. i'm absurdly in love with your content for years now. Your music is the kind that music I always imagined in my head, but never could find it on youtube, untill i found your channel. It's so amazing.
I do have to mention your music helps me cope with depression and when i'm overall at my lowest. I'm glad that your channel grew massively over these years, and I was SO shocked when finding out you produce the music YOURSELF ASWELL.

As for this music, it's one of my favourites! It's in my top 5. 1st being "Voids", 2nd "Mourning" always brings a tear to my eye. 3rd "Bad Thoughts" Og and remastered. and this is the 4th. 5th though is "If I were Beautiful". I suffer with immense self hatred, and I relate to it alot.
But I love genuinely EVERY soundtrack i've heard. None of them i find bad or that I dont care about. All would be an A-S tier from me :)

For a cdl driver who has 8 hours a day for anything audio, you fill up quite a bit of that time, as I get some cool arc ideas for my DND campaign. I hope to one day,to have a good story for you to tell. Maybe with its own music 😅
Its like the fires of war rise from the ground with this song. The marching of calvary and men their boots and machines rolling through towns and the battle feild.

You know I recently read a book this book completely changed my entire perspective on everything.
The book tells of a story of a fair god a holy and loving and merciful God that is patient but will do what is necessary and in that book he created a beautiful creation he then gave them the ability to choose because he didnt want robots he wanted beings but, then his creation turned against him and he tried so many things to not only show his creation his love but to save them from the inevitable consequences that their actions would bring but even tho he showed them his love and even tho he told them of the consequences they would have to face for their actions and choices they still rejected him.
That book is the Holy bible
