Joining the slew of Aussies in the comments to tell you how fantastic this band is!! They are Aussies rock royalty and for me, one of the best bands in the world.
The singer-guitarist was the fabulous Ian Moss. Check him out again singing the American classic, 'Georgia'. It's beautiful !' The co-singer was Jimmy Barnes who often does lead vocals. As you've already reacted to John Farnham, you can see and hear John and Jimmy -'Barnsey and Farnsey'- sing, 'When something Is Wrong With My Baby'. It's a knockout ! Choose the LIVE performance at the ARIA Awards. You'll love it ! And I loved your joyful, hyped-up reaction !
Thanks for watching and the suggestions, I am so happy and lucky to be introduced to these amazing people ❤ am under the weather so as soon as am feeling better I will definitely look into it 😊 thanks again have a wonderful day 😀
Yes!!! Have just subbed for this. Cold Chisel - simply the best Aussie band ever, permanently blaring out of my car stereo. "When the war is over " from the same concert is a must. More Aussie band reactions please....
What can you possibly say indeed! There's a deep deep rabbit hole you've found here. The band split up and the two singers ventured out on their own and have done amazing collaborations with other Aussie artists. They made a comeback all guns blazing. Loads of variety here.
Lead Guitar Ian Moss, Lead vocals Jimmy Barnes…..great Australian band…..plenty more Cold Chisel to discover + Ian Moss solo, and Jimmy Barnes solo…. Enjoy.
Cold Chisel absolute legends 🥰🥰🥰🔥 l grew up listening to them...chills down my spineb🤩 Check out 1 Crying like a refugee 2 Working class man. l met Jimmy Barnes 🥰🥰🥰🥰
You won’t find ANY bad Aussie musicians! Cool reaction😊👍🏼❤️🇦🇺Always listen to live versions. Other Chisel Songs: Khe Sanh You got Nothing I want Cheap Wine My Baby Flame Trees Working Class Man. Other Aussie Artists: John Farnham Guy Sebastian Matt Corby Vanessa Amorosi Tina Arena Kasey Chambers AC/DC Midnight Oil.
@@MetalRHeadReacts1985add on Icehouse, The Church, You Am I, Powderfinger, Mondo Rock, Daddy Cool, The Models, Mental As Anything, INXS, Australian Crawl, The Angels, Hunters and Collectors, The Divinyls, Hoodoo Gurus, The Saints. The list could go on forever. Even soft rock like Little River Band, Air Supply. Country rock like Stars. I was fortunate to see many of the classic 80s bands like Cold Chisel live back in 80/81. An amazing time of pub rock.
This is 22 years after they broke up the first time. From this concert When the war is over. From 1983 check out their cover of wild thing and for their first hit and first single check out khe sanh live 1978
Anything from the Aussie pub rock scene is goat mode check out the angels am i ever gonna see ur face again live or even john Farnham and Jimmy do some amazing duets. Jimmy's guitarist diesel does some awesome song's too
The guy in the black shirt at the front, Jimmy Barnes, is normally the lead singer but the guitarist, Ian Moss, sometimes writes and sings songs. Look up their song You Got Nothing I Want. Back in the 80's before the internet they went to the USA and were treated badly, so they returned home and wrote it as a raised middle finger.
And there are soooo many at this gig who weren't even born when Cold Chisel first broke-up ! Universal Australian appeal ! I think a love of Cold Chisel has been passed down in our DNA lol !!
Cold Chisel started in the early 1970’s as a Heavy Metal band, with the piano player as their music director , arranger and go to guy ..... they tried many genres including country before finding success with Jimmy Barnes and hard rock as their mainstay, but every band member has written a top class ballad or 2 and they all sing. If you can enjoy pure basic feral rock live, then do Wild Thing from their Last Stand Tour, 1983. Strap yourself in and pump up the volume.
Just one of so many of their great songs, incredible band, excellent reaction. Try this from their Last Stand tour. A lot earlier, it's a cover but they tear the original to shreds. czcams.com/video/8Z6RjUi3rmE/video.html&ab_channel=GlennThomas

Wild Thing ,1983. As good as it gets.

No need to water mark/cover the vids - chisels are cool and wont demand monetary compensation
Thanks 😊 it's only to protect me from copyright
