  • My air conditioning stopped working on my 2008 Audi S3 8P a few weeks after buying it. In this video I found out it was error code 00819 which points to the High Pressure Sensor for the air conditioning system. Also known as the G65 sensor it is in quite a tight spot on the S3 engine but it was surprising how easy it turned out to be with a few tools. This fixed my air con and I am a happy chappy.

    hi,
    i had the same problem, so i changed the high pressure sensor.
    which i buyed from the local sparepart shop. NOT original.
    The problem was still there.
    We checked on gasleak, everything was ok.
    i put 12 v on the compressor. was ok
    after i buyed another sensor from a different manufacturer.
    Still same problem :)
    i cheked the whole wiring nothing strange about it.
    later i ordered an original one from audi.
    that solved everything !!! it took me 3 days to solve the issiue ;)
    BUY ORGINAL SENSORS

    Thanks for the documented fix! You inserted a screen shot of what looks like a cell phone diagnostic app. Can you share what the app is and buying instructions for the diagnostic tool.

    Was the air blowing warm when at the lowest temperature? My s3 ac is doing the same but I thought it needed a Regas ?

    Why did you spend £68 on a OEM part for a 12 year old car? Do you plan keeping it for a further 12 years? I've just paid £15 for one of these off eBay. It was absolutely identical to the original and works perfectly.

      Had bad experience with some ebay parts pal so would rather spend the extra money 😎

    In my car, the same sensor seems to be leaking coolant. What do you make of that? Would replacing sensor as you did, solve the problem? Thanks

    • @projectfearn

      Leaking coolant? As in gas? How do you know its leaking from there have you had the dye put in? Danny

    • @alc1212
      @alc1212 Před rokem +1

      @@projectfearn well I'm not exactly sure what's leaking out. It's green like antifreez/coolant. I just bought the car so its possible that the last owner used the die and that's why its green. But either way, the liquid coming out is green. Around the same time I noticed that my ac stopped blowing cold air. What could be going on?

    • @projectfearn
      @projectfearn  Před rokem +1

      The seal may have gone in the sensor 😎
