I felt the people pleasing in the workforce. I was laid off yesterday out of the blue due to my company wanting to "down size" and it hurt me the most because I stayed and endured so much and was always people pleasing to stay in my job just to lose it anyways. No more people pleasing in all AREAS of my life the rest of 2024 and beyond
3:00 - I went through this last year with a friend , we’re no longer speaking ..sometimes I think about her and miss her 😞but I’m at peace knowing I can take care of my needs and I don’t have someone taking advantage of me 🧘🏽♀️
Just ended a toxic friendship. I don’t think the other girl was in the wrong honestly I think the problem was really me trying to people please. I’d go above and beyond for her and get supper hurt when I felt like she disappointed me or didn’t go as hard for me as I did for her. That friendship just felt so difficult and forced. Honestly it hurt initially but I feel at peace now. I’m learning to accept that people can grow apart, it doesn’t mean anyone was wrong it just means for this season of life we aren’t good for each other and that’s okay.

It happened a lot when you come from a narcissitic household. It is definiletly a maladaptative behaviour. So thank you to spread awareness about this topic.
