This is one of my favorite things to do in the fall…make and can homemade apple butter!!
Not only is it a family favorite but also makes a great Christmas gift for friends and family.

Homemade Apple Butter:
4 quarts finely chopped apples
2 3/4 cup sugar
2 3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1/8 tsp salt
Pour apples into slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients. Drizzle over apples. Cover. Cook on high for three hours, stirring well with a large spoon every hour. Reduce heat to low and cook 10 to 12 hours, until butter becomes thick and dark in color. Stir occasionally with wire whisk for smooth butter. Freeze or pour into sterilize jars and seal.
Process jars for 20 minutes

Nice work. Poor little man needs the little handle attachment for the peeler/corer. I found a brand new corer in Marketplace for $5!! 😊

I would mix the salt sugar and clove together and layer it between the apples as you put into the crockpot.
