Who Are You", composed by Pete Townshend, is the title track on The Who's 1978 album, Who Are You, the last album released by the group before Keith Moon's death in September 1978. It was released as a double-A sided single with the John Entwistle composition "Had Enough", also featured on the album. The song was one of the band's biggest hits in North America, peaking at number 7 in Canada and at number 14 in the US, and has become one of the band’s signature tunes at their live shows. The piano on the track is played by Rod Argent.
The lyrics of "Who Are You" were inspired by an incident Townshend experienced. After going out drinking with Steve Jones and Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols, Townshend was found in a "Soho doorway" by a policeman, who let him go if he could safely walk away.

Y'all ought to do "Behind Blue Eyes". It's easily their best song in my opinion, definitely a 10. Or their set from Woodstock is awesome as well.

It's a nice song but you really like it better than Love Reign O'er me? That is a masterpiece.

The Who were noted for the first intelligent use of synth and synth sounds. I saw them live back in the 70s and they played with full intensity and every part you hear on the albums. To clarify, that interlude part that sounds like a guitar in the middle is a high bass solo. He was an amazing bass player.

and 20 years from now, some other young YTubers will listen to this song and feel the same way! This is a classic song, it will never be dated.

Strangely enough, as a child of the 60s I was never infatuated with The Who.
Since then I've decided that John Entwhistle and Keith Moon are the greatest rhythm section in rock history.

"Join Together" is a must, "Behind Blue Eyes", "Eminence Front", anything you can check out from the Live Secret Policeman's Ball is so cool too! Earlier work "I Can't Explain" was their first single as The Who, "I Can See For Miles" from 1967. The 1973 Quadrophenia album is amazing, live is the best. Enjoy guys, great choice!!

Keith Moon sitting in a chair that says "Not to be taken away" A few months later he had passed away.
America may have won the War of Independence but the British won the invasion of the '60's
