Nice video but the Forest Service doesn't have the budget for this fancy stuff. Cutting a gap through a large downed tree is the most you can expect on most trails.

For a local trail, I just weed whacked it with a swinging chopper. Because the damn park does not maint what is out of sight even though it is part of the park trail. The trail was so overgrown the trail was almost out of sight. Both sides grew to the middle. So this video is a joke parks spending money on their trails.

Find out who is responsible and get involved. I do trail work professionally and as a volunteer. Complaining on youtube doesn't get anything done.

You're talking about just one trail on one park, or forest, or whatever. Could also be a trail that has been intentionally ignored. Don't judge the whole system by one tiny example.
