Gandhiji had said, 'Ahimsa is the means, Truth is the end.' Non-violence to him meant not only a negative state of harmlessness but a positive state of love, of being good even to the evildoer of resisting the wrong-doer through truthfulness, humility, tolerance, compassion, and kindness. It is not a method of coercion but that of conversion, of faith in human goodness, of right means for the j...

Mahatma, Episode 6: Trusteeship
zhlédnutí 9KPřed 6 lety
Gandhiji's theory of Trusteeship, or social ownership, was the most definitive doctrine of his political economy. It was his alternative to the capitalist order, which leads to inequality, deprivation and violence, as well as to state ownership under communism, which leads to the loss of individual freedom and initiative. He paraphrased the basic concept from the Ishopanishad thus: 'Earn your c...

The Salt Satyagraha in 1930 was the best example of mass participation, including that by women,...

He emphasized that there was beauty and art in simplicity and it did not require money to ...

Great son of democracy
Don't show emphaty to your captured enemy....
My grandfather fought with the rainbow division, too. He was at Dachau. He interviewed townspeople who did business or used slave labor from Dachau. He was a peaceful, great loving man, but he told me it was the only time he wanted to physically hurt people. You could smell the camp from the office he used for interviews, they all lied and said they had no idea what was happening. It's the only thing he told me about the war. He was 90, and he said it with tears in his eyes. It gives me goosebumps just writing about it.

The polished Kennedys helped conceal the very shadowy, racial story of the Democrats, WHOSE PARTY were the racist Confederates of the Civil War; of the KU KLUX KLAN; and OPPONENTS of the Civil Rights legislation actually introduced by GOP'S Eisenhower. LBJ and ALL SOUTHERN DEMOCRATS blocked federal Civil rights -- until it was politically opportune in the mid-sixties. See US history.

I like how he keeps repeating, "The bottom of the world" and it just completely goes over every flat Earthers head. In the 1958 Britannia encyclopedia two or three sentences down from the famous word dome it describes Antarctica as a continent. In this very video he describes it as a plateau. For any single man or woman living in the dorms, please do take advantage of your time there. See and explore and make new friendships, memories that last forever. Don't stay on base, please don't unless adventure and exploring is not your thing. You may miss out on things that you will never get to experience again. You could come back married to a foreign national and England, Ireland, and Scotland and Wales has a lot of pretty girls for the guys out there. I was stationed in RAF Fairford UK from May 2007 to May 2009 and got to see a lot of England and go to go TDY to Germany only once but there is so much to see in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. I had a blast but did get homesick, overall though if you are single go overseas. Memories last a lifetime, and you are going as a military service member. Only friends and family I remember were jealous when I got to go overseas and especially to Europe. I tell everyone who gets upset, "Where was you when the enlistment office opened?" That pisses more people off to hear that but you can also be miserable overseas as well. Remember there is a big difference in way things are on the other side of the world than they are in the states. Luckily at the time when I was there, I had a great team that I worked with and always hosted a lot of great events for the younger troops and the single airman that lived in base housing, off base, and in the dormitories (in which our dorms were cottage houses which was super cool). Plus you have the ability to take your vehicle overseas if you decide to or get a host nation vehicle. Just keep in mind if you do bring your vehicle overseas, be aware of the love and hate that some Europeans have of American vehicles. I had some that love mine and others that just called it based on their interpretation hated it so you get a mixture of pros and cons. But for those going overseas especially to the UK, remember be smart about your activities do not get in trouble off base as you will both deal with host nation and military law as we had one military member experience this my two years in the UK. But have a blast, make memories take photos to where you been. They will never fade as you can say you were one of the few that got to be stationed overseas.

This sentence is false.
@@TruetoCaesar Those two are avtars Rama and Krishna! Naturally they won’t have temples when they were alive but were revered as avtars! So far Shiva is concerned he was worshipped even in Rigvedic time , called as Rudra and at one place as Shiva! Also as lord of animals , it’s dwell ng place, his characteristics etc! Also Vishnu by name mentioned ! But no 1 and 2 are Indra and Agni. Ofcourse there were no temples of any gods as their gods were living and all around! Agni, vayu, sun, moon, varun etc.
First I read about it was in year 1972. Later Carl Sagan the astronomer talked about it!

When in modern day politics have we ever had a President talk to the American people like this? When have we ever heard an interviewer perform such an intelligent interview? This is a President that was totally involved, and knew what was going on. He didn't have to be told, and he didn't need a teleprompter.
It’s still totally unexplored because those who occupy this country have advised world leaders that they should never enter because if they do it could lead to their total destruction.
