    In this Photoshop tutorial, you'll learn how to sharpen images in Photoshop using a variety of different methods to suit your workflow. Not only will you learn how to sharpen in camera raw, using unsharp masks, smart sharpening, and high pass filters, but you'll also learn what sharpening does to a photo and how noise plays a factor in your adjustments. These sharpening techniques work well for any type of image that you are working with, including for sharpening portraits, landscapes, macro, or product photos. Later on, at the end of the video, I'll also share how you can selectively sharpen your photos using smart filter masks and regular layer masks, depending on the sharpening effect you use! Hope you enjoy :)

    What about 3rd-party sharpening and noise reduction tools like Topaz, ON1, and Luminar Neo, Brendan?

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  Před rokem +2

      Ive used Topaz and Neo but I tried to keep to the tools already built into Photoshop for this one! That way everyone has access to the same tools.

    I have old version CS5, could I get same results?

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I am not totally sure whats different between CS5 and now in regards to sharpening. You’ll just have to play around to see what things are the same.

    I didn't watch all the way to the end but it's important to never do any sharpening until you've resized the image to your final output size.

  • @JohnNguyenMusicChannel

    You forgot the sharpen tool :?

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  Před 12 dny

      I never use that tool TBH which is why I didnt mention it. I prefer the other options, but theres many other opinions to have on that which are all valid. Just use whatever tool you prefer most after testing 👍🏻
