This "most underrated ...." stuff is one of the most overrated quotes ever. Underrated by whom? Bu the Heartbreakers fans? By the Travelling Wilburys? People who play guitar - not shredders!!! - know that Mike is soooooo good. And he belongs to the "100" list of great guitarists in the rolling stone. What do you mean by "underrated"?

Not to sound contentious but the thing I really admire about Mike is he keeps growing as a player and his chops are next to none. A lot of legendary players tend to flatline at a point and just cruise there but Mike, Joe Walsh and Frampton comes to mind as well, just seem to keep an active enthusiasm and interest in playing which shows imo

TPATH were all about the songs, no long leads, no fancy stuff, especially the 21st century music, and Mike was perfect for Tom. They got down to that pure raw sound that is what rock is all about.

I really like how they give a hint of every song he mentions. It’s like “oh, yeah. That’s the one!”

The fans paid to see and hear Fleetwood Mac and as great as Mr. Campbell is in his own right, he is doing the right thing by being faithful to the original spirit of the hits he is being paid to interpret.

One of the best songwriters and guitarists on earth, end of story. He is underrated and iMO Toms secret weapon. George Harrison and the rest of the Wilburys might also agree.

Love this dude! Feel extremely blessed to have caught The Heartbreakers on their last two tours. If you haven't checked out Way Out West by Marty Stuart, do so! Mike produced the album and it's a gem.

Good interview, I feel like I got to know Mike Campbell the person a little bit and I like him. His musical genius speaks for itself. Really appreciate his respect for other musicians and tip of the hat to Lindsey Buckingham, another of the great ones.
