“They know you’re here. Whatever you do, don’t scream!” Some demonic creatures have control of the elevator and they’re preying on the cries of human souls - the louder your pleas for mercy, the more powerful they become. Can you stay silent while plummeting 13 unlucky floors at the speed of fright?
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, also known as The Tower of Terror, is a series of similar accelerated drop tower dark rides located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Tokyo DisneySea, Walt Disney Studios Park, and formerly located at Disney California Adventure. The attraction is inspired by Rod Serling's anthology television series, The Twilight Zone, and takes place in the fictional Hollywood Tower Hotel in Hollywood, California. The Tokyo version features an original storyline not related to The Twilight Zone and takes place in the fictional Hotel Hightower. All versions of the attraction place riders in a seemingly ordinary hotel elevator, and present a fictional backstory in which people have mysteriously disappeared from the elevator under the influence of a supernatural element many years previously.
The original version of the attraction opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios, then named Disney-MGM Studios, at Walt Disney World in July 1994. A decade later, Disney began plans to add similar versions of the attraction to their newest parks at the Disneyland Resort in California, Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan, and Disneyland Paris. In California and Paris, Disney sought to use the popular attraction to boost attendance at the respective resorts' struggling new theme parks. The California and Tokyo versions of Tower of Terror opened in 2004 and 2006, respectively, while financial problems delayed the opening of the Paris version until 2007. The California version closed in January 2017 and was replaced by Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout!, which was later incorporated to the Avengers Campus themed land in 2021.
The Tower of Terror buildings are among the tallest structures found at their respective Disney resorts. At 199 feet (60.7 m), the Florida version is the second tallest attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort, with only Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom being taller by 0.5 feet (0.2 m). At the Disneyland Resort, the 199-foot (60.7 m) structure is the tallest building at the resort, even after its retheme, as well as one of the tallest buildings in Anaheim.
At Disneyland Paris, it is the second tallest attraction.

My daughter (13) and I went on this ride yesterday. In my opinion it's the best ride in the park. Although we kinda knew what was going to happen, because you can see it from the outside, we went in totally blind. I must say, that first drop scared the hell out of me. I highly recommend it.

Of the towers that are still "Twilight Zone" themed, this is the best one. A French ghost child is definitely unnerving.
Making the little girl the host over Rod Serling makes it a lot scarier, I love it!

Me(33) and my son (15yo) rode this one last year and normaly i handle rides well , but this one 🙈 When it finaly went up i grabbed my son for dear life and screamed with my eyes closed "HOW HIGH ARE WE?!" him "not so high" me opening my eyes and seeing FREAKING STARS everywhere 😱☠️
My son still talks about it 🤣🤣🤣♥️

The laughing of those creatures totally surprised me when I went on it again since years haha, you can't hear the stereo in this video, but when you are on the ride you hear the creatures laughing behind you. So creepy and well made!

I didnt think about anything except my hands on the handles and the screaming...
I went there last september. Rode it 2 times, 2 different drops. Little girl was totally creepy 😂 And yes, you can hear the creatures laughing all the way.
Loved every second of those rides.
I hope I can go back soon!

@@BrokenFairytalexowent on it for the first time last week with my partner and 12 yo neice. We all loved it! It is super fast (so much so that my flip flop flew off in the first drop!) and the lap belt certainly keeps you in your seat but is excellent! You don't actually drop - this was considered too dangerous by Disney as you could drop too far and hurt yourself - so they came up with a mechanism that uses magnets to pull you down. The view from the top when the doors open is amazing! Highly recommend this ride! Hope you have a fab time at DLP!

I thought it was just a clone of the old one at Disneyland in California. Very similar but way scarier! That little girl really makes it an experience! I hope this one doesn't get rethemed! Especially considering how small this park is!

I went on this ride just yesterday at Disneyland Paris, with my husband and 5 yr old daughter. She seems to be the only one who came out in one peice as she really enjoyed the ride. I couldnt feel my butt and i felt like was being dropped upside down from a very high tower. At the end of the ride I kept touching my head to make sure it was still intact. My daughter told me to hold her hands if i was scared🙈. Mehn! This was one hell of a ride!

I wish did go to DCA’s when it still open. But did go to mission breakout during 2021 for the first time. It was fun. But I miss having a tower of terror in California.

I was ten and with my sister who was 6 and we actually screamed our heads off when we went on it
My parents told me it was a normal haunted house ):
I genuinely found it hard to scream while everyone else in the elevator were screaming, I was the YOUNGEST ONE

I went on this ride yesterday it’s extremely fun I’m on the boat now to go back to where I live but I recommend it sometimes it had long wait time tho it’s rlly popular (in summer prob like 1 hour or over) first you go into a room with a tv it says something like that it was a normal hotel and it got struck by lightning and they all disappeared that’s why it’s got lots of broken parts on it but then you go into another room after it for a wait time to the elevator (a but long sometimes) when you are assigned an elevator your given a number you then go on one in that row when the elvator opens. When you sit down put your seatbelt on and then staff will help u check if needed then they check if anyone else is still doing the ride. The elevator will start to go backwards when the ride is starting. The door will then become a screen for you to see a clip then I tihnk u go down then up at a high speed a few times then it’s a mirror scene about the dimension/twilight zone (I tihnk) bc that’s what the ride has got in its name and then you go up fast then down fast then another clips shows about her sayin g “I can get you out come with me” then it goes dark you go up fast but then a window opens you can see half of the park then you go dwn and then the ride should be over hope this helps! Also if you have motion sickness hood your mouth or wear motion sickness bracelets that help

Thanks I don't think I could stomach this ride, some of the comments put me off. I don't mind a little drop but when somebody says they felt like they were being dropped from upside down really puts me off lol don't wanna be traumatised.

I went in Feb this year to WDW and looking at DLP my initial reaction is "Wow, this ones aloooot longer"
You get "dropped" about 3-4 times in WDW so its over fairly quickly. DLP looks baller! If you can stomach it... :P

Florida is TOT but the same Twilight Zone
Paris is TOT but its not the Twilight Zone but is in the room
Disneyland Tokyo is TOT but is a story of a stealing and a scary demon monkey
Disneyland California is the Gaurdians of the Gallexy
Don't get me wrong slowly going through the world of the Twilight Zone in Orlando is 10x cooler then the other rides accept for Gaurdians because Gaurdians ride loks amazing lmao
