Kunsthal LIVE Artist Talk Ai Weiwei 30 september 2023

Op zaterdag 30 september gaf de beroemde Chinese kunstenaar en mensenrechtenactivist Ai Weiwei ter gelegenheid van de tentoonstelling In Search of Humanity een Artist Talk in Kunsthal Rotterdam. In Search of Humanity presenteert belangrijke werken uit al zijn creatieve fasen en geeft inzicht in zijn buitengewone kunstenaarschap. De tentoonstelling biedt een indrukwekkend overzicht van zijn ruim vier decennia durende carrière, met schilderijen, culturele readymades, LEGO-werken, sculpturen, installaties, fotografie en videokunst. De kunstwerken tonen zijn voortdurende zoektocht naar menselijkheid en een betere wereld.
On Saturday, September 30th, the famous Chinese artist and human rights activist Ai Weiwei gave an Artist Talk on the ocassion of the exhibition in Search of Humanity. In Search of Humanity presents important works from all creative stages in his career, offering an insight into his extraordinary artistry. The exhibition is an impressive retrospective of his career, which by now has spanned four decades, and includes paintings, cultural readymades, LEGO works, sculptures, installations, photography, and video art. The artworks show his unrelenting search for humanity and his efforts to make our world a better place.
