Not all of us grow our hair out, but part of the reason is because it just fits, if your listening to something like this, long hair just works well, but there are guys like me who are huge metalheads and have buzz cuts. The long hair thing is just kinda the metalhead image, like some people who like model themselves after rappers. some metalheads model themselves after their favorite bands.
