The 1-800-yeetus this is so funny. My 67 y/o, non-caring-about-motorcycles mom was sitting next to me and asked me why I was laughing. Even having to explain the joke, icluding explaining what "yeet" is, she laughed, too. Great ad! I remember those Wilford Brimley diabetes commercials. Being a type 2 diabetic myself, I crack "diabeetus" joke on occasion. So worth it.

I wanted an R1 when I started, but my budget was like $3000.
I ended up with a '92 Ducati Monster. Much lower HP than I wanted, but I found pretty quickly that my opinion of hp did not matter in the slightest. Crashed the duc and got a Yam fz6r after that because it was all I could afford. Kind of hated its style, but I ended up loving the bike overall. Crashed that one too. Finally put one foot into the big league with a 2007 Suzuki gsxr 750, which is wayyyyyy older than I wanted...by like a decade! Guess what....I f***ing love it. If you're buying a bike because you want to look cool, I can't help you...no one can. If you're buying a bike because, like many of us, you have a deep seated and unreasonable need for 2 wheels, pick anything in you're budget. I promise, I'm having just as much fun with 140hp as I was with 70.

I bought a motorized bicycle engine for 150 bucks and put it on a 300 dollar mountain bike it worked fine it was my baby it wasnt fast but it was loud because i removed the baffle from the exhaust it was FUN everyone looked at me when I was riding it and i had full gear Helmet gloves everything it was my daily but it was to good to be true i was riding it to school but I screwed up in the chain and the sprocket was off center the chain skiped the sproket hit the engine wall and it shatterd it than it the pieces hit the crankshaft and broke it the engine locked up and I draged my tire at 40 mph it wasnt fast but it feels fast because it was a deathtrap i bought a new crankshaft with more compression and put that one on the engine all by myself but a friend helped me make the gaskets it didnt run the engine had spark and fuel and compression but the damn thing wouldnt start and guess why the bigger crankshaft made the piston kiss the spark plug it was robbing spark so I went to the store bought a 1mm spacer put on the sparkplug and it fired right up after months trying . It ran for a week and broke down again :( now im just going to buy a 400cc ktm dirt bike in about 2 months or a suzuky im not sure wich one but it was a hell of a journey wish me luck

I got a brand-spanking-new road bike for $5249. 3 year unlimited miles warranty. Gets 70+MPG. Runs on 87 octane. Insures at $33/month for full coverage and a $250 deductible.
But y'all hate Royal Enfield, so ... I'll keep my Classic 350 to myself.
(I don't care that it won't win any drag races. I don't care that it's not optimal for cross-country Interstate freeway touring. That's not what I got it for. It does everything I need and want, and nothing I don't. I don't care that you don't like it. It's my bike, and I love it.)

Oh, and for reference: I've been riding for over 40 years.
I learned when I was 10 on my best friend's 80cc dirt bike (I think it was a Yamaha).
My first bike of my own was a KDX 200.
I've since owned 250 and 500cc dirt bikes from Kawasaki, KTM, and Husqvarna.
In college I rode a 750 Ninja. (The original 750 Ninja. Yeah, I'm an Old Fart™️)
So I'm no stranger to motorcycles that have power to spare.
And I still steadfastly maintain that my RE Classic 350 is the perfect bike for me right now.
Will I ever "upgrade" to a "real" (read "bigger displacement for purposes of penis measuring contests") bike?
Maybe. I could see myself on a Z900RS or something similar at some point.
But for what I need it for right now (commuting to work and running errands) my Classic 350 is absolutely perfect.

Geez, nobody ever even mentions BMW's around here. I bought an 08 F800 for $3500 and I love the little sucker. Not blazing fast and the engine sounds a little like a mini diesel, but if you can get beyond that these bikes are relatively modern, reliable, well built, comfortable and fun in the twisties with fabulous brakes. And chances are good that they have been well-maintained by an "adult" past owner or two. So where's the love?

The R6 inflation is real. Mine got stolen this summer, and the insurance payout was more than what I brought the bike for new, in 2020. It was enough for me to buy a used Panigale.

Just a week ago I also found out how effective brake cleaner was against wasps. I was working on my old Speedmaster and there was that one wasp that couldnt take the hint and leave me alone (not surprising, wasps are demons a-holes on wings) with my bike. I grabbed a brake cleaner that was next to me and gave it a quick squirt. Wasp dropped dead in an instant. I knew brake cleaner was potent poison and serious enviromental hazard but damn, instakill on flight. Of course I also crushed just in case. Anyway, maybe I really should start wearing respirator when using spray cleaners. 😅

A cheaper solution is to use dawn water (yes the dish soap dawn), just be sure the water is good an blue, or to ensure it's extra strong use a 4-1 dilution. It drowns the little bastardos by making the water wetter, allowing it to enter the little hellions an thus drowning them. So load up a spray bottle or pump sprayer an dispense cheap, yet effective death.
