This kids sang along so they pretty were familiar with the song, it's still vwry played in tv / movie soundtracks and spotify playlists. They're just not that familiar with Verve legacy anymore. "Going nuts" just hasn't been fashionable among mass concert crowds in ages, perhaps it is at few rock/metal audiences that are mostly gone local or underground nowadays. Things have changed, it's unfortunate but true.

Ashcroft is a great song writer and front man and vocalist but his band ain't nothing on the Verve. Especially Nicky Mac, a genius with an effects pedal imo. Really adds to the song and its noticable on live performances
Vacuum Boots Can not agree more. I think Nick McCabe was credited as a songwriter (musical part). With bassist and drummer of the Verve it was a very unique type of music.
