the first coin in Dash is actually marked; right above the coin are four yellow squares and a red square, indicating that you’re supposed to hit the final red block after the yellow ones

I like the first coin in Dash. I didn't even notice the glow in the last block, so it felt more like an actual puzzle. My reasoning was that the red blocks drop the big spike thing on you instead of immediately killing you, so if you hit the last one you may be able to barely get by without dying.
thats not how you're meant to find it but ok
if you drop to where the coin seems to be hidden you'll see a submarine type thing in the background right above the coin in the ground. it has 4 yellow cubes and 1 red cube at the end. This shows that you're supposed to hit the yellow cubes and one red one at the end

Fun Fact: Dash’s first coin is like that because in the sneak peek’s layout, the block that originally gave the coin was a safe block instead, so the coin was a callback to the teaser

One thing I absolutely love about 2.2 is the amazing UI changes. Some are really goofy (like the "settings menu tunnel"), while others are a huge improvement. Also geez you're so good at spotting coins!

I think the first coin of dash is actually pretty good because you can see it if you miss it, and hitting the last square also matches with the rhythm of the song

One thing about the first coin of Dash I want to mention: I actually figured it out because, due to how the red blocks kill you (by forcing the spike ceiling to go down), the last red block couldn't possibly kill you as you'd get out from under the ceiling before it could kill you. So I felt it was at least somewhat clever as I figured it out through thinking about how the level's hazards work and how something that seemed like it should be a hazard logically wouldn't be after thinking it through.

As someone who has watched the video at 30x speed on the premiere, I can confirm this is a certified GD Cologne classic
I actually really like the first coin in Dash. It's meant to match the music sync, which I think makes it super unique. However, it does kind of make it difficult to find when the practice mode music is playing. However, in normal gameplay, it actually works really well. Now it feels weird to go past that part without getting the coin because you're going against the sync.

I feel like a lot of people miss the dots above the first coin in Dash, they helped me a lot with the coin along with the eyes flashing green.

22:23 I actually really like this coin. I think the blue glow is very noticeable (i found it on my first playtrough of the level) and to get to the secret wall the player must understand how to use orbs both ways, which is something that was just taught to the player by using the pink orb.
Or maybe I'm reading way to hard into that coin and RobTop just rushed the coin and put no thought into it.
2.2 was something we were waiting for for a long time. Was it worth it?
I say that.. it seriously was! The amount of PURE and UNBRIDLED content in the update is showering the community with many more creation abilities.

Colon, I hope you see this comment cause the first coin when it's in the lava, there's a stone behind it with 5 squares indicating that the player has to hit the last skull in the "sync" part to get the coin. Hopefully you see this before you make your 2.2 coins tier list and at least give it a little higher rating

The squares on top of the coin indicate that you've done 4/5 of something. I think it's a good coin, as it rewards you to observe this detail

You CAN push blocks in 2.2, but you have to use invisible/B5 layered collision blocks linked to move triggers on each side.
Makes for some really cool physics puzzles when you add falling and carrying!

About the first coin in Dash, there are also 5 squares above the coin and when you play the level normally only 4 out of the 5 light up so that's pretty good indication of how to get it on my opinion

Great to see 2.2 out, it took a few yours but it was worth it. I hope that 2.3 would come out sooner (if it come out at all)
The character building of the Mechanic and Scratch is really great, they're so likeable have a lot of charm
Not only do they eyes turn green, but also there's a pattern on a wall above the coin that tells you what you're supposed to do. Personally I think it's a really fun puzzle.
The other 2 coins are stupid though.
Yeah absolutely! The other 2 coins are D or F tier. The second Dash coin isn't that bad, it's just extremely hard to spot, it's near impossible to notice the different colored laser.

i joined the stream when colon was in the tower level where rattledash talks to you, i found it so funny that colon noticed and immediately starting raving over rattledash
I like the first coin in dash, because It syncs, and if you watched the sneak peek, there was a normal block there. And the dots next to it each indicate a block pressed, and it's all but 1. And its eyes grow green.
Colon angry at most things in the update is both funny and infuriating to some extent. This is why I subbed! Keep being brilliant in your videos, colorblind furry! xD
29:00 My friend was grinding for a good time on the AutoNick level, and it really showed the problems with speedrunning platformer levels. First, the level has an RNG section that can make you gain or lose multiple seconds. Second, the level has a long unskippable cutscene (which is definitely a frequent occurrence in The Tower). I really hope people learn to not do that for speedrunning to be fun.

It's such a bizarre feeling, I started playing gd like 8 or 9 years ago, when I was in 6th or 7th grade, I dropped and started it again several times, until finally beating it in the 10th grade. I'm impressed this game haven't lost its popularity and even got a major update after all these years.

Also, the reason you need to hit the last block for the first coin in dash is because since you hit the yellow blocks to the beat of the music, it seems to miss the last beat of that section, but when you hit the last block it matches up so thats why you get the coin because it syncs up with the music.
