So many motoring journalists just follow the herd but you have the courage to say what you like and articulate why.
So glad you like getting your top down.. 😅❤. ( Love a Convertible )
I have always loved the T-roc convertible , so I think you did make a mistake but so did land rover, both cars ticked all my boxes
Go on Tish , you know you want one !
The 2.0 T engine would last the longest in the long run, would last longer without the turbo, personal preference, tax costs ect, is a nice looking car, I had a golf 2.0 MK4 that I had to put an engine in due to the amount of oil it burnt, was a good drive, consider it for your next car ❤
I have one for just over two years now. I just love it, so much fun!
I don't think the Up is a wrong choice. However, I would have gone for the convertible personally.
It does suit you REALLY well. :)
Great Review Tish of the T-roc Convertible. I can see how it might appeal to certain people and our Hand Over Sales assistant had one as her demo at B.S.E. VW. They still have a little scuttle shake as most convertibles do, but I think you made the right choice with the UP! GTI.
Hi, I have a T Roc with the 1.5 engine. On a recent holiday trip, I managed 66 mpg. When cruising two cylinders shut off, incredibly efficient. Is the 1 ltr even more efficient?
First time I see one of your video's. Subcribed right away.. What an nice and professional review!
Looking good tish like always and so is the colour of that vw t roc
And it does suit you well the only thing I can fault on that car is the steering wheel controls and it's abit big at the back but a part from that the car is nice x
Great review as always , blending in with the car again.
Hi Tish, I love that car--I drive a 20 year old Renault cabriolet here in Spain--if and when I move back to UK I will be tempted!!
Keep up your fun reviews....😊😎
Hi Tish, thanks. Not many convertibles around anymore. Reminds me of a speed boat .
No suv looks good as a convertible
How does the airconditioner work with roof up? Warranty and options are not mentioned in the video. Perfect car when the weather is good.
Love how you're matchy-matchy with the car, Tish (so cute in that outfit, too!). 😇To me, nothing looks better than a beautiful redhead in a convertible with the top down! ❤
Well presented Tish! Some parts of the video looked to be out of sync on the audio, though but maybe that's an issue my side. I've had it where one of videos is fine, but the odd user has said it's out of sync, when it wasn't, just a glitch their end.
Edit: I think you made the right choice getting the Up GTI personally.
Yes I noticed it was out of sync too. Not just you Aaron!
Bugger, thanks for letting know Aaron, that’s what I get for editing at 11pm and uploading before watching through. Rookie mistake!! 😩
Right off the bat: the proportions! Definitely has that subcompact appearance, with some convertible touches sprinkled in. I love how Volkswagen stay true to their front design. In a world full of big grills, they keep theirs small, simple and tasteful. Fake exhaust and vents are unacceptable so they're getting zonked. I've seen better interiors, and the engine choices all comes down to pricing and preference i suppose. Not my favourite ride tbh. If i wanted a convertible for around the same money, but with more performance and practicality, i'd rather have an Audi TT Roadster. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the T Roc is for those who fancy a crossover convertible vehicle. Great review as always. Thumbs up.
My wife just got the 1.0ltr version of this and I can say you are bang on the money saying it's the best version. Not only is there more than enough power you also have the slightly softer suspension & even better the steering wheel has physical buttons rather than the touch sensitive ones on the upper models.
This is immeasurably better looking than the Evoque convertible
Also, if you like a convertible, I should take you out in my MX-5 😅
Go for it girl, GO FOR IT!!!
12:20 PM It's a really nice 👍 exterior and interior and I love 💕 the windows when the top is down. The curve glass really makes the convertible attractive and makes me want to buy one,but I'm probably to big to fit in it which is one of its major problems. Nice review Tish, hate the flip-flops, it ages you.😢😮😢😮😢😮.
Interesting, We don't have these in the western side of the world. Do these come just in a soft top or hard top as well?
You do look good in the T-Roc convertible. But, I wouldn't swap it for my Eos. I would dread to think how much I would worry on the security side, concerning hard top/soft top. Plus, I can drive with only a sunroof open, something unique to the Eos. Pity they stopped producing the Eos. Tish, you have my blessing, if you decide to buy the T-Roc Cabrio!
great video tish i would have the t roc with a metal roof we dont have the sun always in england by the way ive subscribed long time ago
Great review Tish, and nice car. Shame its only two doors (I regularly have my dog on the rear seat)
I have a 1.0 TSI Great wee car. The down side of the convertible is of course the the boot space and 2 doors not so handy. Not sure about the sky blue either Trish but otherwise the car does suit you.x
I think you made a mistake.personally,I think convertibles are much more fun to drive despite our crap weather.
I agree the TRoc convertible suits you way better, but hey, having a healthy financial position in this tough economy is way more valuable. So the Up Gti was an even better decision.
I think you did the right decision for the up!
I saw one of these coming towards me last week ...I thought it was a facelifted PT Cruiser at first glance....now I can't get that image out of head...its a NO from me 😬
Great review! Car does suit you but i do believe you made the right choice with the UP GTI
Great video Tish, but I just can't imagine there being a particularly big appeal for cars like this, but people are clearly buying. But, why? LOL
Now the pain of manual hoods has gone I would choose a convertible especially as it brings a smile every day and on our congested roads the ability to put the hood down in a few seconds to enjoy the open air on our slow roads means that the soft top wins even if it loses out on slightly less space in the rear and boot.
Great video - my dad has the same car but not the convertible. Btw what have you got on your feet?! 😂😂😂😂
awesome car
Do like the paint. Pops the Ytoc TROC typo
Excellent Review - No such thing as a wrong decision............. unless it was made in HASTE........HINDSIGHT IS A CURSE!!!!!!!
Favourite car is ice....good choice 😀
👍👍👍
MX5 for me every time .Great fun and very cheap to run
The UP GTI is a good practical town car, and you can't really beat it, but it's not 'cool' like a Fiat 500 is. So. Get that VW cabrio for the summer, and when the weather turns, jump into a Fiat 500 .... don't forget to put winter tyres with low noise rating on it though. Simples. 😂
You don't think the Up GTi is as cool as a fiat 500????
@@AutoSocialUK He-he. Sorry, German cool vs Italian cool?? Italian all the waaaay 😀😃
Oops, I almost forgot. Don't do solid colours. Go for the pastel unless it's red with a cream interior 😋
Be Awesome if Renault made a Cabrio version of the Mègane E-Tech.
Not fair, but who wouldn't want to be siting in the passenger seat next to Tish ?
I hope you looked after it in your week because I've just bought that actual car 😂
How funny, bet you’ve seen all sorts of videos! It’s a great car!
I must to say that your voice reminds me a lot of Rebecca Jackson, who I bet you know very well… 😉😊🗣
The sound and your video seem to be out of sink a bit hear Tish but you look to be having g fun. Maybe not the best hairstyle for do it girl.
Whats in that JD bag? Hmmm? Grub?? 😂
Would you actually buy one?
Whenever I see these, I think Barbie and toy car
You're on the 18's.... you're parents have the 19's.... there's no 20" wheels for the T-ROC. Would have been nice to see the roof going up and down too.
Love it but way way way to expensive
Why not buy a second hand convertible Tish a 206 convertible maybe?
The name is Cinquecento
Yours mums car !!?? Ever since Tour De France in the caravan throwing out goodies stood up just loved TROC cabrio. Don’t know why. Just do. Strange. Petrol blue paint helps it further.
1.0 ltr? 😮...however it is a confused vehicle...not sure T-roc cab is that good looking...
I hate the idea of convertible crossovers. It makes no sense.
The Evoque Convertible was a massive flop, but the T-Roc Convertible is surprisingly gaining popularity. Perhaps its significantly lower price is the reason for that.
Since JLR launched the Evoque Convertible, it sold 13,700 vehicles during its lifecycle.
I like the T-Roc but the convertable seems like a pointless car.
If I am buying a convertible then I want a 2 door roadster but then I do have an MG TF.
Yes only you love it. This car is meh at best. It may be a top seller european convertible but that is because there are not that many affordable european convertibles anymore, so there is not exactly a lot of competition.... As a car this makes no sense to me. Convertibles need to be fun to drive, so they shouldn't be based on crossovers or suvs. They are fun cars, not practical cars. Cutting the top off already destroys their driving dynamics and they need to add more weight, so why base this on an already botched crossover platfrom to begin with? Not to mention that the worst thing that can happen in a convertible is rolling over, so the last thing you want is to base it on an tall platform... Also, why no hard top roof? 4/5 seaters with soft tops are a big no no for most sensible people. Such cars are meant to be your only car most of the time, unlike let's say an MX-5 which is a weekend car. So not having a hard top for additional security and for cruising at high speeds on the motorway comfortably is a big no-no. It is a great car if you don't have to pay for it and live with it long term, i agree. It is garbage if you are to buy it for yourself.
Did VW have 3 designers design this car lol. It's a mess. The front look like it wS designed by two different designers just like an original Fiat Multipla but at least the Fiat Multipla was a brilliantly designed car. Then the side and back of this if they were designed at were designed by a different designer.
Personally I think these are awful - like the RR Evoque. They're clearly aimed at a female audience so I get why you like them.
Not for me i'm afraid
It's horrible that's why it wasn't successful in the UK and completely pointless. As for the Up GTI it's not much better....
Sorry Tish but I have to dislike this video. The car is a mess. They only things good about it is the colour is bright and the alloys are nice but would look even better with a Renault badge on them.
It's definitely a woman's car, you won't see many men driving them. It's a pointless car , a convertible SUV, you don't see convertible Nissan Jukes or convertible Ford Kuga,s .
I bought a Volkswagen a few years ago , I will never have another, the most overrated cars on earth .
Erm because of the weather?
