In our latest episode of BEHIND THE CHEVRONS, we dive into the club’s past iconic hummel jerseys and discuss the history and inspiration behind each design.
After some years break, hummel has partnered with Coventry once again. In this episode, we’re joined by Robert Revell - now Creative Director at hummel UK. Together with Robert, we take a look at several Coventry F.C. jerseys - including the new home, away, and third kit for the 2022/23 season. We also learn about various elements of the club’s culture from cathedrals to time capsules, as well as the incorporation of one of the club’s historic chant ‘In our Coventry Homes’, into the jersey design.

My Grandfather was head stone mason for Laing who built the new cathedral, he built the baptist window along with my dad who was an apprentice and many others. Many of my Welsh family worked on the cathedral as stone masons. As a Cov fan I am extremely proud of this and for our 3rd shirt to be based on the window, it’s wonderful PUSB 👍💙🏴
