We take a look at the design of the hood/fender rail where the mount will attach, what coax cable to choose so you can avoid damaging the outside of your fender, and the basic installation overview.

Will these types of mounts work for GMRS?
Yes, but you will need to use a NMO coax cable with the mount. We have NMO coax cables that are specifically designed to fit in a 1/2" hole like those found on a CB mount.

Shouldn't you be setting the SWR?
Yep! You have to set the SWR (Tune the antenna) after the mount and antenna are installed. Check out our "How to tune your CB antenna" video.
