the problem with road markings been painted on the ground is it can make hard to see when there is queuing traffic because the traffic can literally cover the markings as the vehicles are so close to each other and if you are not from the area you may not know which lane you need if there are multiple lanes. I have seen places where the left lane is left turn only and others the left lane is for left turn and also the second exit but again if there is no overhead instructions or signs erected at the side of the road informing drivers frustrating mistakes can and do happen. road markings on the ground as you said do wear out and become hard to read

As. Foreign Audi driver, driving in the UK is a complete nightmare, information overload, far far too many road signs, the constant 5hreat of cameras, people ignoring lanes, the numbers I have encountered in 5he wrong lanes, I assume largely due to the piss poor signage, narrow roads, too many lorries all in a rush

Nice video. Today we drove in our small lorry back to work and from a 90 km/h road slowing down to about 70 because of the middle island. And exactly under the narrow highway tunnel from the E42, a white Q7 Audi passed us on the wrong side of the middle island, under the highway bridge, still going about 90 into the build up 50 km/h zone. I said to my colleagues: it's always 'n Audi. Regards from Belgium.

Tony I have something to admit - my mother's bad driving. Me and my dad were in his car, following my 70 year old mum to the garage. All went so well, until we got to a mini roundabout where she had nothing approaching from the right. However, she just sat there, keeping the Mini on the left waiting. Eventually, the Mini just gave up and went (to be honest, I think I'd do the same in that situation). When we arrived at the garage, I said this to her: "Roundabouts - priority to traffic approaching from the right. However, when nothing is on the right, you must go and not keep everyone waiting" I don't think she took it onboard though - she's one of those 'in their own world' type of people.

Cognisance often fades with age and 70 is quite old. You’ll have to get used to the fact that your Mum isn’t thirty five picking you up from football practice anymore Jim, so make allowances. It will get worse..

Great vid, first of yours I have seen, the trouble is in the UK there is no consequence the police never seem to stop them bad drivers so no pressure to change. I’m from the north of the uk and travel on the M25 only a few times a year and the lane discipline is dreadful, it seems to be the norm that people stay in lane 3 or 4 and just go a whatever slow speed they like with the whole motorway having to undertake them, again no consequence.

I have nearly always driven German cars (for many reasons), and I would say it's not the car at fault, it's the driver, and usually a man. My current cars are from more than one country, although I mostly drive a high performance VW. I have a clean driving licence, and always try to be very generous and considerate whilst on the road. How other poeple drive generally doesn't affect me, because I always stay a long way back from the vehicle in front. I certainly don't get stressed about any of it, but keep these videos coming.

That section on the London Road side of Crown House in Morden is so bad. Everyone wants to run the lights. Everyone gets caught on the box junction, and then they squeeze to the left or right only to push in again as soon as they can. The whole section slows down massively just because of all the cars pushing in!

That exit on the M25/Ashtead roundabout (8 mins in) is a bit odd. Because you are going right at the roundabout for the first exit which makes lane choices unusual. And then you have a two lane exit. Better road markings I reckon would sort that out, for the observant anyway. And also apologies for my critical car spotting comments on the GT3 RS last week. Keep up the good work. I really enjoy your channel !

I reckon many drivers have no clue where they come from / are / want to go and completely depend on sat nav instructions. And sat nav has huge delay , just think how much processing is required from system/ satellite/ system / brain / foot / muscles.
I see delays in Lane changes every 10 minutes on motorway, which I can onky explain by stupidity through lack of observations and pure delayed reactions to sat navigation

Must be the anonymity of drivers that lets them queue jump because the same people would never dream of cutting line at a grocery or bank, etc. There you can say HEY, what are you doing? How dare you try to get in front of me. But not driving. Years ago at a bank I was standing in a long queue waiting in line and was writing a check so the people in front of me had moved forward leaving a gap. Suddenly the woman behind me started to shove past me in line and when I saw that I moved forward faster and she got all upset because I had let the people in front get a few human lengths ahead and she was upset because I had not bunched up behind them. We were between the ropes by the way. WTF?

It always makes me wonder whether people who are idiots are attracted to buying Audi’s and BMW’s for some reason or whether the dealers make the buyers sign a contract which says they must drive them in an idiotic way or whether the cars themselves turn perfectly decent people into idiots once they get behind the wheel?! Road markings are secondary to sign posts. By letting out that audi, it meant you helped out all the vehicles behind it, that would be a more positive focus than the fact they didn't thank you as per instructed n the highway code :p Whole bunch of "meh, so what" clips that, for a good driver, pose no problems to turn into a non-event whatsoever without needing to flash lights (which could have been read as letting the oncoming vehicle turning right to cross in front of you and cause an accident. I'm not condoning bad driving, I'm just saying, it happens all the time and if you just let it go, it'll be much better for your blood pressure and your ability to make good decisions while driving

As to the ground/floor thing, that annoys me because it is another Americanism coming into common English! It is the ground, a/the floor is self explanatory.
I don't generally say much, but am glad others have.

If you're tall and your partner is shorter than you then they've lowered the seat to their height so please raise your seat and if you still cant see over your bumper get a smaller car and then if you still can't see over your front bumper then you should've gone to Specsavers or your wife forgot to tell you to put your glasses on

Tip from an old git. Just drive your own car as safely and considerately as you can and ignore the rest of 'em. You can’t do anything about anyone else's driving so why get hot under the collar about it?

Ground is the natural substance underfoot, the Floor is the artificial covering on the Ground, so they are wrong, you are right.

Just watched one of your videos. You’re not a very good driver. The other thing is you make assumptions on situations when you cannot even see the whole situation. Hope you’re not a driving instructor or teach anyone about driving. And no, not subscribing. Lol

If you're going to post about idiot drivers you might want to lay off the horn and name calling. Road rage isn't becoming of a self appointed driving standard judge.

I would agree; unless you are qualified in driver training, let’s cut down the criticism of other drivers. There may be a very good reason why some drivers get in the “wrong” lane. Cars don’t run on railway tracks.
