Brilliant dissection, it's good to know what each bind does when coupled with correct body position

1st Scrum: The blue No.3 Drops twists the White No.1. White No. Colaps the scrum.
2nd Scrum: White No.1 scrums inwards, ref should have penalised him.
3rd Scrum: White No.1 drops his head and scrums inward.
4th Scrum: White No.1 dropping his head pushing downwards.
5th Scrum: White No.1 simply cant handle it and collapses.
The No.3/tighhead does not want a long bind. If you get the No.1 Just under his armpit, then you are dominating the No.1.
When Its your ball you want to steady the scrum. The last one was text book from the blue no.3.
Good scrumming from Blue No.3. The White No.1 is trying everthing he can to upset him. Lucky that the ref is not blowing him up for it.
The no.1 prop cant grab the No.3 pants and pull him out as he pushes inwards. This is dangerouse and highly elligal. Please stop telling people that its good scrumming.

Thanks for your comments. That's the good thing about good coaching is we don't all agree and we all have different ways of teaching etc.
Most referees tell you not to bind under the TH armpit - Law 11(c) Each prop binds by gripping the back or side of their opponenet's jersey.
You are correct about the prop binding on the shorts and pulling out, but I can't remember when a referee has penalised either under armpit binds or binding on the shorts.
The method of binding on the shorts and pulling the TH is usually used when the TH is boring in.

@@RugbyScrumSkills Referees will blow if the LH binds short or under his armpit. The LH has to bind on to the TH back. The same for the TH. I find that coaches are are too lazy these days and will teach their props how not to scrum rather than how to scrum propperly. They will tell the TH to smply stand there, and then tell the LH to scrum inwards on him.

@@pistolpete1992 maybe not lazy, a lot of coaches don't know how to safely and correctly coach scrumagging.
