- A full in depth look at the exciting new coaster that just debuted in Japan this past year. I had an opportunity to ride it 8 times while at Nagashima Spa Land, so I'm here to talk about the ride experience and give tips for riding should you go out to experience it!

this is definitely the most visually appealing of all the RMCs.
I think Lightning Rod, Outlaw Run, and Wildfire look a lot cooler, all of them being on the mountainside. But any RMC is visually stunning.
Chief Beef no not lrod or outlaw. their color scheme is too dark and it doesn’t look appealing
@@patrickrichardson9183 agree. The white and blue is so much better
Twisted timbers is fun to watch
*Rmc gwazi has entered the chat*

Taylor: we're going to Japan
Lessardo where RMC goes, I follow!
What about Medusa steel coaster
@@CoasterStudios Calling up RMC to build a coaster in North Korea
He is an RMC chaser
He follows RMC!😂
Now put a green track next to it and call it Twisted Hakugei!
That would literally be insane
Man that's a good one bro I wasn't even thinking about it until you said something then I realize hecka noticeable
Will you ever rank the RMC coasters again
Matt Kubas probably
Matt Kubas what I’ve learned from the coaster studios CZcams channel after watching for like 4 years now is that Taylor tends to make videos based on whichever side of the bed he wakes up on, if that makes sense.
Thewarf321 LOL that’s kind of true😂 my opinions change so much it’s kind of hilarious how often I can’t make up my mind
I'm japanese.
The rank of RMC I've been on is…
1.steel vengeance
2.lightning rod
3.twisted timbers
4.hakugei
5.twisted colossus
I'm going to ride wicked cyclone, zadra, joker and railblazer next year so I'm really looking forward to it.
Railblazer is gonna be an INTENSE experience let me tell you ;) - you're gonna love it.
I love Wicked cyclone, its compact and it has pretty rapid fire elements and really short transitions, I’d also ride it in the back too
You're probably going to be disappointed by Joker, but only because it doesn't live up to the other RMCs. It's not a bad ride on its own by any means, it's just the "weakest" ride from a company that has never made a bad ride so far.
@@VestedUTuber why does EVERY SINGLE PERSON HATE THAT RIDE UGH
@@ecervantesramirez
It's a matter of expectations. People go on expecting another mind-blowing centerpiece ride when it's really just a _VERY_ solid secondary. And then they hate it, not because the ride was legitimately bad but because it didn't meet their very high expectations.
And the reason why people have those high expectations is because most of what RMC makes is top-end centerpiece rides.

This is the most beautiful looking coaster I've ever seen. Up against that blue sky, work of art. I gotta get to Japan asap
This also one of the most beautiful RMC coasters I have ever seen eye candy all day
These are my go to coaster reviews! You literally tell everything I could ever want to know about the roller coasters!
I got an idea for a West Coast Racers parody. From the chain that focuses more on quantity than quality, comes a new for summer 2019 coaster that you can’t ride in summer 2019. West Coast Racers. You were sad when Batman and Robin The Chiller was defeated, now watch as the same manufacturer makes another dulling ride in the same park as Twisted Colossus, which you guessed it is that but an RMC. Which leaves the question, out of all the Six Flags parks, why Magic Mountain? And you know it’s bad when a 2020 coaster that was partially struck down opened up before this. What happened? (Cuts to a parody scene of RMC distracting Premier Rides so that Zadra opens up first.)
Get Takoda! Cue the narration
To dawg, I heard you like dueling coasters, so I give you a dueling coaster, in a park with a dueling coaster. So you can duel a dueling coaster while another coaster's dueling
Im excited for do dodonpa review it's one of my favorite launch coasters I've ridden
Me too. It's iconic.
@Kevin Lahr ya it did that when I was their
I really want to ride that coaster
That’s is why guys, don’t judge a ride base on pov
Edit: awesome review Taylor, my last visit to Japan was 2015 and Hakugei was still White Cyclone, thus Eejanaika was my favorite ride I did in Japan. I’m super hyped to go back one day to do Hakugei!
Oh now that shot of the entrance sign at night... I would like one small LED desk lamp version please thankyou.
The look of this ride is incredible. I love the white structure paint with the blue track on top. It's simply stunning
Your Hakugei review is so satisfying!
Love the accurate comparisons - your experience riding AND filming most RMCs really shows. Makes me super excited to ride Hakugei someday 😍😍
Now you need to get back to Europe again to ride Untamed and Zadra :)
Ender i’m sure one day I will!
Ender He’s riding Zadra in 2020 now!
This is my favorite RMC color scheme - love the blue track. Twisted Cyclone looks real good too even if it's too short.
It looks like a great ride! Been on 11 RMC's and this one is right up there on the ones I need to ride. Great review!
Visually, the coaster is stunning. As I get older, riding the coasters is tougher for me, but I think I’d be perfectly happy just watching this coaster in motion.
I was fortunate enough to be able to ride this in May. Another RMC masterpiece.
Nice review! It can be tough to put together a review when you have no negatives about a ride, but this is really well done.
6:05 I see what you did there. I'll cut you a deal by liking this video for free, and that's a great price!
Zodayn WHAAAAATTTT, you’ve NEVER PLAYED TUBER SIMULATOR
You know it’s fun, right?
I’m not supposed to give my opinion,
but give it a try
Just wanted to say that I rode my first RMC(The Joker) last week thanks to you and I’m in love! Your channel is literally the sole reason for my recent interest in roller coasters. Btw, I’m now heading to magic mountain this week for the first time😁
This is the first coaster review I've seen that didn't use the word "insane." Very impressive! Huge thumbs up.
I’m so glad that you went to japan! I live in japan and I’m planning on going to fuji q fairly soon! So really is fortunate for me. Thanks!
I can’t wait for the eejanaika review
Love your channel. Keep up the great work.
When I went to Cedar Point for my first time in June, I got to ride Steel Vengeance in the back row while it was pouring. The rain hurt, but it was an awesome ride overall. I think the rain made it more memorable tbh so even though it felt like getting shot with an air soft BB gun, when we got off we were drenched and it was a crazy experience. Never will forget that last ride of my Cedar Point trip with back row ride on Steel Vengeance in the rain.
Yay the Japan reviews are here!
I want to ride! The outer bank turn on Twisted Timbers is fantastic. My only RMC so far. I got a back row night rain ride on it. I’ll never forget it.
Great review! That colour scheme is really nice on the eyes, looks awesome!
I'm a big fan of old Woodies & back row airtime. this has the look of a Woody & looks action packed. i live in Tampa & the old gwazi is getting a rebuild. 206 ft. at91 degrees. can't wait but this is a beauty.
The area by the ride and the ride itself is honestly is beautiful! :)
HAKUGEI LOOKS AMAZING
Wicked cyclone did that chain thing one time i was at sfne
Rode this twice yesterday. It was full on and my first RMC
That is one mother of a structural piece of engineering! Wow!!! Fair play ! Cheers!.
As a Ride Technician I can think that when the coaster seat on the watch dog on the lift can be on porpuse and the chain will not suffer cause all this days lift are VFD controlled, so the power that goes to the motor ramps up slowly, until goes to the maximum set. So I know it looks weird, but not crazy at all.
I got a rain ride on taron last week. My face hurt a lot but it was awesome!
something about white supports and blue track is just so aesthetically pleasing
The coaster is really stunning!
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
I've been on twisted colossus and twisted timbers they are really good. This one looks mental
Great review!
Can’t agree more..riding in the back of coasters are soooo much fun and offer more speed whip and air time compared to any other place on the ride
Hakugei is an absolute unit
Completely agree with everything you said, truly one of the greatest coasters ever.
Awesome video!!!
you make great reviews and footage. How you get drone footage? Also I love how you describe each elemen and the feeling you had in it. Fantastic videos you make, sir!
Keith Fox thank you so much! So the aerial shots you see are actually not drone footage, they were shot on my camera from the Ferris wheel.
Bucket list for me. Great video. Looks like a beauty.
There's another new RMC (hybrid) in the world since 2019. Its Untamed in Walibi, the Netherlands. It replaced the former wooden coaster Robin Hood and has its layout still a bit going.
That looks so good, I wish I could ride it
I'm so so excitded to have a similar coaster in other parts of the world in future.
This coaster should be fun !!!😊❤👍
I agree with you on that note with the lift chain it’s going to cause a lot of stress on train. I operated on tons of coasters and that’s never happened to me when I operated them.
I think Japan's top 3 coasters are basically just magic mountain's top 3 but better.
TC, X2 and...?
Japan has Eejanaika, Hakugei, and flying dinosaur
@@visionist7 Tatsu
@@Zane_1616 still Magic Mountain has them all in one park instead of a whole country lol
Japan is basically just a theme park.
Great video👍🏼
Those girls walking past the entrance at 7:15 are in the front row of all of Taylor's footage.
Squealing with their arms down I bet
That is one beautiful coaster
it is the most beautiful coaster ever!
Actually, the chain isn’t being stressed. The anti rollback is taking all the stress. Like you said, you hit the anti-rollback, THEN the chain starts and grabs you. I’d wager that it may even be less stress than coasters that rollback directly into already moving chain.
7:30 crossed arms hold on technique, been using it on Twisted Timbers when it gets too much (e.g. the trick track segment) since before they removed the handhold thingies. It is the best way.
Its ride looks like a much larger (and better) version of twisted cyclone with its prelift hills, wave turn, and color scheme.
CAn't Wait for all these other Japan Coaster Reviews!
This thing is beautiful
Rmc Gwazi will be taller than Sheikra. It's amazing I only live 30 minutes from my home park. This coaster looks similar to how Gwazi used to look but a less intense drop compared to this coaster. I hope to ride it sometime. The only RMC I've ever done is Steel Vengeance
You should rank vekoma SLC’s, my favorite is thunder hawk at Michigan’s adventure, no headbanging at all
PointlessPickle2 I love that ride too!
Maybe it's better since they rebuilt it over there. I always liked it when it was at Geauga Lake, but it was definitely a head banger lol. I almost lost my glasses on that thing.
That is a TERRIBLE idea!
Coaster Geekism 101 why
This thing is massive. It's like Steel Vengeance for the eastern world.
Not quite
When Is dinner another steel vengeance fanboy
3:45 strain on the chain - the rapper lil bybee
In my opinion this is the best RMC even better than Steel Vengeance by a little bit because when I rode it, it was insanely fast.
I love when wooden supports are painted white
Looks like great RMC ride!! You might want to ride Untamed at Walibi Holland Taylor! Shawn rated it above Wildfire, which makes it his number 3 rollercoaster, just below Shambala and Steel Vengeance...
I hold on to that restraint like it.
a lot of riders or critics underestimate this ride, the front of this ride is insane, some of the best injector airtime's ive ever felt sorry CP steel vengeance
Free lockers! Awesome!
Iron Rattler has two outer banked turns, one facing inside the spiral, them immediately banking the opposite direction for the second. My favorite part of the ride.
So your favorite part of the rmc with the best first drop in the world a dive off a cliff into a cave a roll that goes onto a quarry is the 2 banked turns that give eh lateral hangtime.
@@R7SkIlZ Those two hills are not the most intense part of Iron Rattler, but I really, really like them. This was my first RMC and it blows me away every time I ride. Nothing on this coaster is bad. I've never experienced anything like those two hills, they're exceptionally fun. Regarding first drops on RMCs, Iron Rattlers is very, very good, but I prefer Storm Chasers first drop if only for how unique it is, a corkscrew drop.
Wodan’s chain actually snapped today, i wonder how long it will take for this one to get thanosed
We need an RMC in the UK. Unfortunately I cant see this as a possibility for some years
Height restriction is a killer.
This looks like every planet coaster rmc ever
Hey Taylor, just curious. Have you ever ridden a zero g stall that you thought was “too long”? My home park is Magic Mountain and my favorite element in the park is the green side stall on Twisted Colossus and I love it.
That first drop looks like an RMC Son of Beast drop
Do coaster fights like wildfire vs Hakugel or a park battle
you have a new subscriber taylor
Well the auto subtitles start of great
Ima build this in planet coaster and then upload it to the frontier workshop! Cuz I'm building recreations now
(Day 1 of asking a parody of Dragon Mountain at Marineland) 😎😎💅💅
Oooooooooooohh
Btw ive never ridden an rmc im sad i wanna so bad i hope hershey gets an rmc
Most People: Listening To Taylor
Me: Watching The Coaster And Pacing
I heard that White Cyclone wasn't a bad Intamin wood coaster at all. There aren't a lot of traditional wood coasters built by Intamin. Of course those were this, American Eagle, Regina (RIP), Aska at Nara Dreamland (RIP), Pegasus at Efteling (RIP), Elf at Hirakata Park, and Jupiter at Kijima Kogen. But American Eagle, Jupiter, and ELF are the only ones still operating.
I rode Hakugei today for the first time. It's beautiful, well-paced and super smooth. But I wouldn't give it a perfect 10. I was expecting something a bit more forceful. Plus, operations are extremely slow due to excessive security theater. Still a great coaster though!
I was super disappointed with Hakugei. I was expecting it to be way more intense but the overall ride experience just did nothing for me. I even got 4 rides hoping I would aquire the taste for it but nothing... still felt like the coaster was missing something despite being super fast. Not to mention that I'm not a huge fan of RMC trains either. I find them a bit awkward and uncomfortable cause they hurt my thighs after a few rides. Flying dinisaur is still my favourite coaster I have done in Japan so far. Looking forward to Eeijanaika
Great video! can you do Eejenaika next?
Matt Tuszak next will actually be Steel Curtain
@@CoasterStudios Cool! I've heard a bunch of mixed opinions on it. Looking forward to that!
looks like a single track twisted colossus (Magic Mountain)
I absolutely agree. Compared to Untamed (only other RMC I got to ride) Hakugei on front row is NOT EVEN CLOSE to what the POV's show. The first hills got me like sh*t this one's different
A magnificent white mountain of badassery
Could you show the coaster stats also in metric units? Would be great!
What is Nagashima Lands policy on glasses with straps? I know at Fuji Q glasses even with straps are not allowed after i saw ElToroRyan's review of Eejanaika. Any one have experience with this?
And to think that this is the only RMC in Asia...
Man, the other Asian amusement parks are REALLY missing out here. They have SO much potential here.
RMC isn't that expensive compared to other manufacturers like B&M, Intamin, or Mack Rides. Plus, they offer a LOT of thrills for the money.
Honestly, I would kill for an RMC Raptor in my country.
Well, the shipping cost is quite expensive compared to other companies since RMC's factory is in America so maybe that's one of the reasons why? I also think that some parks in Asia can be a good candidate for a new RMC, but it hasn't happened yet😔
Storm Chaser does the chain thing too
