It was against 3 bubble titans and the solo pm'd me with "at least I don't use meta, etc" while shit talking after they won 4-5 against 2 bows.

Question unrelated kinda related. But I see everyone call bow players terrible, how do you usually react to when someone says something like that?

Terrible as in skill? I agree, I think the average players who uses bows aren't that good. I find it very easy to counter random bow players because they mostly focus on hotswapping or spamming abilities such as threadlings while disregarding other things such as positioning and movement. It's pretty much the same as any other weapon but bows proofs to be the most potent and the least risky weapon to execute kills with due to their damage over insane ranges which results in players being rewarded with a lot of damage they otherwise wouldn't be able to do without them.

@@kurakun6280 a bad bow player is rewarded a lot for fairly minimal skill compared to other primaries. As hynra said swapping or ability spam bow players are a dime a dozen. Someone who is fighting you in cqc with a bow and using their kit well is not a bad bow player though.
As much as I hate fighting against bow campers, I absolutely love watching high level bow play. The movement and insane flicks are a joy to watch.
As an Asian server player, Asian players are insane at this game, and you stomping people that are good just really shows you are THAT guy (+ I played with you on Iron Banner once lol)
Yanks have no clue how brutal these Asian severs are I am from Australia so I am fucked and put in games with people playing like they have a family member on their death bed.

To be fair the only thing meta thing about bubble titan that’s cancer is the bubble itself while strand hunter is pretty oppressive in its neutral gameplay. I do think strand hunter is a crutch. Was an arc main and was baffled by how much of a crutch it is when I tried it it’s like easy mode lmao

I’ve been a bow main in all aspects of the game since Forsaken and you introduced me to the idea that you can be aggressive and use a lot of movement with strand and bows, which got me out of my more passive playstyles, which have led to more entertaining crucible matches overall for myself. I’m a salty player by nature who avoids PvP because I get tilted so easily, and yet I’ve still started measuring my success less by wins and losses and more by how well I can execute movement in duels and in general, and your content helped push me to do that.
Insanely awesome movement and aim! I've been watching you for a few months now and you still have new tricks up your sleeve, keep up the good work!

Bungie made a horrible mistake by adding another hipfire grip bow
to be fair most bows have good hipfire anyway so i always ignore that perk and still hipfire and hit my target most of the time

I like watching how skilled you are but man do I not enjoy how many bow gamers are in the game rn, absolutely dread having to fight a bow player and they hit almost like special weapons rn sometimes
I love going against bows , because almost everytime its just people picking it up to cheese , they have no experience on how to use it effectively , so you can just ragdoll them around
@@lordofwhip bows are annoying but most of the time you are beat by a sniper... unless your using wishender in which case a .3 can use it and its extremely annoying

Random question, post glaive changes do you think it might be worth swapping to edge of concurrence on this build now, if not for anything else other than the tactical bye bye button it brings to counter things like bubble and well? Alternatively, what about Albedo Wing when it comes out in a week or two? Beacon Rounds sounds like it might be pretty strong on a glaive, at least from what I’ve seen of it on the rocket sidearm

It's not a good roll but if I had to recommend, always go for Draw Time masterwork with Elastic String. Everything else is personal preference.

Meta is defined as the "most effective tactic available or whatever killed you most recently because clearly it was BS and you were actually better the whole time if they weren't using cheap shit and also lag and your chair was tilted and..."
So, using that definition, glaives definitely fall under the definition of Meta if one has just played Hyrna.

Strand hunters are a little too op. I have major respect for anyone using a bow, but I feel strand hunter is just too aggressive with no effective counter. I hope bungie buffs other classes to counter rather than nerfing stand hunter. Faster playsile tends to be more fun for me 🤘

This is the perfect example of why hunters need a nerf. All that movement and dodge potential. Meanwhile titans have to move in a straight line to activate a shoulder charge for the only dynamic movement they get. Granted doing what you did takes a lot of skill but you at least have the options
