The Bakugan craze lasted around a year, from what I remember. Also, Beyblades didn't hit my school until like 2010-2011.

Ahh, Beyblade brings back memories. I remember playing with them in school when I was about 8 or something and my whole class got really into it. They ended up getting banned because we would use them on really uneven parts of the playground to make them do awesome jumps and stuff and they almost hit 4 different people in the face. We still all played with them anyway and everyone was jealous of mine because they had really fast but cheap ones and I had a pretty expensive metal one that the main character in the anime had and it would explode anyone else's on impact. My best friend at the time was the only one that had a good on too and we would play all the time, but the tip of mine got so worn down that it would keep standing even when it stopped spinning and so I would win almost every time when we did it in an open arena. Good times.

Yeah they got banned from my school because people would get into fights and snap those cord things that came with them. I had a metal one too, I'd win every game!
Yeah the times when i had my first bayblade i was in kindergarden people would steal them and you would fight for another ones blade good times i was the mecanic bulding different blades sooo cool
bayblades. When you spun them on cement you would see a bit of dust being thrown, sometimes sparks would be flying from the tip, rustling/scraping noises and smacking leaves and throwing rocks. Once the spinning stopped, you would feel the tip and how hot it was from all the friction, how flattened the point was and how scratched it looked. You would sometime later go back to your plastic stadium and spin em there, You would listen to the difference the noise after engraving the cement, a sound a ps2 controller would make if it was on a glass table with the vibration set to low or medium, all because how rough the tip was. Changing layers and parts to your bayblade because you wanted it heavier to battle others, or wanted it lighter so that it can spin longer, but hating that some parts will fly off during battle. Battling others on the arena was so crazy seeing other blades pushing and ricochet off the walls like crazy.

I had the spider man, finger board, beyblades, razor scooters, rc helicopters (I always broke them somehow), Heelys, Legos (obviously), and I'm pretty sure that I had mighty beans.
Damn. I remember and still have a lot of these. The days of being six years old, and sprinting into Toys R Us for Legos every weekend, and being nine and having almost 50 Webkinz. It actually scares me a bit now.

Not really, they were talking about a trading card game all the time, which is exactly what yugioh is. And other than that, pokemon only has the anime, which yu gi oh also has, and the games, who are excluded from the list.
