Ironic, since Fortnite has possibly the best battle pass of any game. The fact that after buying one pass, you can buy all the subsequent passes is incredible.
It’s extremely sad to me however since I bought my first pass in c4s3 and I missed out of so many collabs. I still wish Laura Croft would come back sometime but it’s probably not happening ;-;
Other games do this like Call of Duty, unfortunately Battlefield 2042s battle pass doesn’t come with enough credits

personally, the spider-man remixes mean NOTHING to me, the MCU spider-man not only is different in terms of design and history, but I always really wanted the symbiote spider-man and we never got a skin for him as a remix
I'm an owner of the og spiderman, carnage, and spider gwen skins and i agree. This needs to change. Anyone who says otherwise is just a narcisstic gatekeeper.

Hypothetically, if the Fortnite devs were to make OG Fortnite a gamemode, they can have it so you can buy previous passes from the item shop to complete them (they don't get rotated out), or if you already purchased a particular pass in the past, you can continue it. You could also buy the pass again, considering they would have to remix the skins and styles so players who already owned that skin don't get mad because of the influx of new players with that same skin, the newer versions can be an edit style for players who already own that skin.

possibly one of the better ideas I’ve seen so it’s fair for both parties; og gets the og variant as well as the edit style and others get the edit style which would only be a little different than the actual skin

I've always thought that they could easily make old Battlepasses purchaseable (or at least individual items from said passes) for what they would be worth in the item shop for that rarity/item. Then to keep collectors happy they could release an edit style for each skin (It could be a basic colour swap for each skin, it wouldn't have to be much.). That way, OG players still feel satisfied with owning something rare, new players can play as old skins, the FOMO still exists for something rare and Epic makes more money for the hiked-up Item Shop prices.

Honestly only thing i want is if you purchased an old battle pass to be able to finish kt cause im still pissed i didnt get the drift style for calmity in season x or get the last skin in chap 4 season 1

@@nathanjones2913exactly man, it’s what I too have been saying all along seems to keep everyone content as what I can see. Fortnite could make a lot of big bucks if they allow that, can also stop all the accounts from being sold.
I didn’t buy season 2 bp, and there’s a certain back bling in ch2 season something I wanted so that kinda sucks but I have almost every rare item in the game
selling/letting us complete old battle passes would:
-be healthy for the community
-it would drop the amount of account selling drastically
-OG's would get to keep their cosmetics
-the predatory business practice of FOMO would be eliminated
-people can play as their favorite fortnite/collab characters
-it gives more wiggle room for those who can't play the game 24/7
-gives the game more replay ability (if you have to grind to get the rewards)
anyone who disagrees just likes to gatekeep skins that they rarely use. people should stop being selfish and let others enjoy cosmetics.

Heres my thought tho... you werent around then. Its a limited time thing as a prize for playing around that time. So for them to turn around and just re-release battle passes without telling us ahead of time would be detrimental to the trust epic has earned with the player base. They've NEVER re-released a battle pass skin and I dont think they will. They will fs reskin things and make them fun/new/different. But they will never just re-release something people paid for and grinded for. Its like a participation trophy. "You didnt do the hard work enough to win, but heres a trophy so your feelings arent hurt" like what??
And IF they do re-release battle passes they should give ppl who had the skins first their own variant or style to be able to show off

A lot of people are talking about the collabs, which honestly I totally agree should not be exclusive, but also as a lore fan it KILLS me that there are so many super important lore characters locked behind the battle pass. I really think Epic should just make old battle passes available and allow you to grind them, maybe giving original owners of the pass exclusive reskins like what they did with the purple skull trooper. The OG playerbase who cares about flexing their rare skins is steadily getting replaced by new players who are being punished for not being able to play in the past, and I don't think it's good for a game's longevity to be punishing the new playerbase who is coming in to replace the old. Nowadays if anyone new wants to play as their favorite character, lore or collab, and that character was in an old pass, they need to buy an account with those exclusive skins on it. Account buying is of course against Epic's TOS, but this exclusivity policy encourages that market to exist. :/
If they had to add a style to each skin for every pass that's around 200 skins
theyre making lego versions for every skin in the game so i doubt it would be such an effort. plus they could begin with the collabs first as thats what most people want, theres no rush to have them all ready from day one. @@ltisdabest21

@retrobat1631 I could see that since how they're slowly adding Lego variants, they could put some time to focus on extra styles for og bp skins my reason is just I wouldn't want them focusing on old bp skins and we get less content that we mightve gotten as a result again I'm open to the idea of them bringing it back even tho I'm og, just if they do I'd like to see the C1 S2 bp since I started the next season
Yep they need to turn OG returning into a yearly event where a past map comes back and you can purchase an old battle pass to complete. That or they should allow skin trading. Their current stance encourages people to buy accounts, you might as well let people trade so I can pay someone to trade me Lara Croft 😂(a little bit satire, but they need to address this somehow, cause new players shouldn’t be pushed like this.)
I really feel like the only real way to fix the problem is to make all Battle Passes available forever with no expiration date to buy or finish them by, this means items would still be Battle Pass exclusive without being broken up for individual sale in the Item Shop yet would still be available to unlock after the season or chapter ends.

I think when fortnite made battle passes exclusive they wanted it to show how long a player has been playing for. For instance I played the game during chapter 1 I now have a battle pass to show how long I’ve been playing. However I completely agree with you because there has been times in my life where I was really poor and unable to buy certain passes that I wanted.
People forgot it’s a game but it’s a business at the very end of the day is to make money. Of course they will use all tactics to max profits. Like every other business, retail shop ect. Stop complaining

If people are worried about styles to skins like the Golden Peely example Epic could just make challenges for those extra styles last forever but continue on with new seasons. So even though there’s a new season you can still work for that variant of Peely you want.
Finally, someone said it. I'm 100% in favour of people being given challenges to unlock extra/super styles. I have every single super style in every BP I've ever unlocked, and I wouldn't mind others being given the opportunity to unlock them as well. The fact that I got these BPs at a massive discount and at the earliest possible time is already a great compensation.
Like how they did with Drift, Ragnarok, Calamity, Dire, Lynx, Zenith, Ice King, Hybrid, Luxe and Vendetta (Don't know if they did any after this, I unlocked everything in the season it was in from X-C2S2, then I quit until Season OG)
I agree with this 100%. Don't allow obtaining the skins that were missed out on, but allow them to unlock the additional features for the skin they already unlocked.

I think they should add a feature that if you used to have an old battlepass, you could do some challenges to get more xp to finish them. I think an alternative route would be to just release alternate styles for the original owners, like with skull trooper.

Based comment, they probably won’t because of FOMO getting players that buy the battle pass to play more to finish it, but it would be so cool to be able to unlock stuff from passes you bought or even just be able to finish challenges to get styles, like they did with Drift and other ch. 1 BP skins that let you unlock styles by getting XP even after the season was over

@@O52T People would still play more to finish it, the only ones who would benefit from this would be the people who weren't able to play at the time be it because of work or an emergency in their personal life like being sick for example.
if they brought back battle pass skins i would be furious. I have OG items from like chapter 1 season 6-7, and if those items i spent my time earning aren't gonna be exclusive anymore i might quit fortnite.

Why not just make the edit/super styles exclusive? I made another comment to the channel about having a second higher tier of Crew for say $20 that allows for older BP’s. It’s not foolproof for sure but with refining I think it could work.

Players who bought the pass during the time it was released should get an extra exclusive style (super levels + bonus rewards should be still unlockable)
The battlepasses should remain at 950 V-Bucks, and you should be able to select which pass you want to continue.

If im being honest epic basically wasted their marvel contract by making a marvel season and a spiderman season. And theyre in a sort of silent panic because a few days ago the item shop just kept being random characters with most being characters that nobody knows about or even remembers like rouge and gambit or silver surfer. I think it wouldve been better to sell those iconic superheroes as their own bundles so you can individually pick out your favorite hero while epic gets more money since they would most likely be worth more than 950 (aka standard battlepass price)
I don’t think Epic fear the community at all anymore. We OGs Chapter 1 / 2 players ain’t the target audience anymore. Theres countless of new players all around the world that don’t engage in content created or Twitter or social media that’s the audience we don’t see. That’s the new target audience just like Roblox. No content yet caters towards the new emerging audience.
I agree but that's the exact problem, imagine just now getting into the game cause of the new “meta verse” and then you see Over 20 battlepasses that are completely unattainable with some of your favorite character from a movie or franchise.
It just doesn't make sense to me why fortnite decided to gatekeep hell they could've released renegade raider and even had given og’s the checker style but instead they just didn't release it.
But it's fortnite loss at the end of the day, players will continue to lose interest when they release they are gatekept out of cosmetics so we will have to wait and see for what epic decides to do.
I personally only recently started playing fortnite... so ive missed out on literally everything (including the actual story of the game up to chapter 5) ... however... after playing halo infinite i have noticed something that could help with the issue of battlepasses.... halo infinites seasonal content is always active.... so if you wanted something from season one all youd have to do is activate season ones pass and do stuff to unlock it.... Fortnite could do something like that in turn... releasing all old battlepasses (of course having to purchase each and every pass fully to get all rewards (devs gotta get the money somehow)) ... it would allow newer players to get old crossover skins (like deadpool and iron man etc etc...) there is another idea that was mentioned in the video too.... where the devs could just put a reskin in the store... it could be a monthly rotation of every battlepass skin (both crossover and non crossover skins) but they would be different colors... example was spiderman... they could just do that too.... for those who missed out... both of these ideas could technically work as the first idea has worked so far for halo... why wont it work for Fortnite?.... and idea two would work as a inbetween... it wont be THE skin... but itll be a variant of it... (id just be happy with that personally)

No they should never release old Bps thats just unfair to the millions of players who supported the game in its early days and put in the time to get to max level to get all rewards from BP. they could do that from now on but they cant change old bps without paying Millions of people in some big way, and as for the variant thing that already happens

If they bring back a Battlepass skin from like 3 years ago or something then it can still be seen as early access to the item and most people still have to pay for it now since they'd need vbucks. Having a videogame item disappear forever knowing very well many of those items are not used or owned by many players now is just a ridiculous idea.
None of the people gatekeeping it care they "supported" the game because otherwise they would want the items back now knowing the game will make money from them. It's literally just the silly reason of your account losing value despite that not mattering at all. It would only lose value if you were selling or buying accounts which you're not supposed to be doing anyway so that's your own fault. Otherwise you just wanna brag about having a rare item.
idk if it's been mentioned, but the Halo: Infinite model seems to be the best I've seen. Once you buy the battle pass you own it forever, you can switch between which season pass you want to progress and earn the rewards in your own time. I've never felt cheated by buying a Halo season pass
I wouldn’t be upset if they started selling BP skins in the shop. I joined during Marvel and barely anyone uses them that I see. Be nice to see more variety in the actual gameplay and people buying aren’t going to get the deal I got on them by having the BP back then. It’s just a skin - so much other stuff in life to be worried about 😂
I think a good fix to the current battle pass problem is if you buy the battle pass you’re able to complete it whenever. Kinda like what halo infinite does with their battle pass.

I remember in season five, if you didn’t finish unlocking styles, you could unlock them in the next season. I think Fortnite should bring back this so I can finish some of the styles I missed out on someone of the skins I have like ultima knight

tbh I reckon they could make non collab skins battle pass exclusive but have the ability to complete the battle pass in your own time and make the collab skins be an early access to the skin before they release in the Item shop
guaranteed more people would appreciate epic selling old battlepass items than would complain, it's the only good move they have after bringing so many new players into the game

I dont think epic should be valuing the opinions of the 9 year olds who want cross overs and cool battle pass skins to be "og" or "rare" because collabs shouldnt be exclusive unless they cant be re-added due to controversy and otherwise bp collab skins and rare collab skins shouldnt be that way
like I missed out on being able to play as iron man and super man and Rick Sanchez because I either couldn't play or didn't have the time and money to grind over 100 hours for levels

I think epic should bring just the collabs from the battlepass back and give the ones that bought it back during that season a special style or smth. I see no problem with bringing collabs back and I’ve been playing since season 5
They should take it back to when you got the skin, the selectable styles became a seperate quest line that would reward the styles based on levels since unlocking. I remember it being about halfway through the season after Drift and I'd finally leveled up enough for the final bonus style. Pretty soon after that they locked style rewards to that season only, as part of the pass.
Especially with brining these other passes into the mix it's pretty ridiculous to expect us to get to level 200 every season, and complete the festival pass, and get to unreal rank in rocket racing for all the rewards. I can only imagine what other rewards they'll want us to grind for once ranked festival comes out and the unlikely scenario they add a pass to lego. Talk about time management sheesh
I think they could allow players to choose a legacy battle pass to grind after reaching level 200 in the current battle pass. So, if you maxed out a current battle pass additional levels could go towards a legacy battle pass of your choice. Or perhaps every level passed 200 would award you special stars you could use exclusively on vaulted skins. I'm thinking every level passed 200 would provide a vaulted star so if you saved them you could redeem 100 of this proposed currency for a level 100 outfit from an old battle pass.
This would simultaneously provide increased engagement while still maintaining the exclusivity of these older crossover skins by requiring dedicated play and limited access. It would be important that they didn't sell this exclusive currency for v-bucks but they could perhaps offer 5-10 a month for crew pass members.

in this case, what do you propose for people who grind to level 300+, that is going to be a way to just get an entire pass and I don't think that would go over well
@@TheAbyssalVoid Well the vaulted stars could reset each season as well so they were use it or lose it. I think it would be nice to reward folks for investing so much of their time. Especially for newer players. Veteran players with all battle pass skins could convert their vaulted stars into v-bucks at a fair exchange rate and spend them in the shop. Perhaps a 100 vaulted stars would be worth like 500 - 1000 v bucks and you could only exchange them if you had at least 100. This would reward dedicated players with more in game currency without cheapening that currency by making it a one way exchange. Considering you earn levels in Lego, festival, and rocket racing it could make those modes more appealing to primarily battle royale players.
The best thing Epic can do is allow players to complete any battlepass any time. This would allow them to be able to sell all battlepasses in the shop and get rid of the FOMO in the process.

@@tabithagodin That's the thing though, even with rare items, hardly anybody has them, and you barely see them around, almost making you wonder if that rare item even exists in the first place, like I don't ever see Iron Man skins at all, making me wonder if people who actually unlocked the dude even play anymore.
Edit: I believe the last time I saw Iron Man was in Party Royale when I was messing around with an emote I bought, and that was so long ago at this point, like it was still C3 at the time.
This is something that is long past being needed to be added. Epic is only thinking of profit nowadays, never of the fans. Hopefully they plan to reveal it during the next og return.
@8:00 I completely agree. As a husband, father of 2, a college student, time to play on fortnite is a hit, and miss. Most cases if you have little to no time you have the option to buy a bunch of Vbcucks to buy the battle pass, or in many cases, wait for the level quest packs to release that would help A LOT, but not so much.
My opinion and an option that I think would make most people happy on every side of the debate. Allow previous battle passes to be purchased but you still have to earn the battle stars and unlock things as you go or purchase tiers like the current battle pass but keep the super styles locked to the og players. OG’s have something unique but new players can at least get the basic outfits to use.
Yep like halo infinite does or warframe does (although nightwave is a free battlepass anyway and lasts for over half a year but every new nightwave brings back items from old nightwaves
Does Spider-Man’s Symbiote style count as a super style? Because I would hate not being able to use that. Plus, I missed out on basically all the Marvel event stuff so this would be annoying for me personally if I couldn’t use the Symbiote Style for Spider-Man.
Edit: I just realized, the super styles are those bonus styles in the bonus section of the battle passes, right? Because I wouldn’t mind not being able to use, for example, time breaker Renegade Lynx or something.
Problem’s that super styles weren’t added until chapter 2 season 4, so your suggestion wouldn’t work for 13 seasons

I feel like Epic Games should just rerun battle passes such as the crossovers where they had Thor, or even Deadpool. I'm sure there's a lot of new players that wish they could've unlocked those skins cause they want their favorite superhero, or whatever. I think it sucks that they got locked behind a limited time pass honestly, something they should do is allow the battle passes to be unlocked with as much time to unlock them as possible. A great example of this is what Super Animal Royale is doing with their passes. You have all the time in the world to unlock the tiers, and you can even unlock old passes they did back then to do if you want to get old cosmetics, hardly anything's exclusive there. I'm sure it'd make a lot of the people who actually put blood sweat and tears into unlocking those skins to begin with, but there's nothing you can do about that, you can't make everyone happy sadly. I'm still upset I didn't play during the Deadpool season, and even the Raven season that took place before I started playing which was the Rick season.

@@MrLeast7000 No gate keeping. If someone is willing to put in just as much work as you they should be able to earn too. You just want to scream I have something exclusive all because you were lucky enough to have enough time to play the game at the window it was available.
My solution: Let people complete old battle passes they bought and let them get the super styles, while everyone else can buy those battle passes just without the super styles. For skins that didn't have super styles, add them in for the OGs to get.

ive been playing fortnite for only a month now, and while im completely hooked it so disappointing and frustrating seeing a cool skin i want and then finding out it was a battle pass skin. ive seen some people thatre really against the idea of bringing back old battle pass items have the sentiment of 'well you shouldve been playing that season if you wanted that skin!' but how was i supposed to play a game before i knew it interested me? again, its super frustrating that im getting punished for not playing at a certain time.
my boyfriend who also plays says that theyd really benefit for making the battle pass work like how it does in halo infinite. you can go back and buy past seasons passes, and you can work on any pass at any time. maybe throw in special varients for the people who bought them when the seasons originally released or something?

I really liked in chapter 1 season 7 there were different edit styles that you got from just playing the game more. And once you got the skin you could work towards the other edit styles even after the season was over.
This was a very needed subject to be addressed by a large creator so that more people know about the issue.
The battle pass is one of the major issues with Fortnite and epic needs to listen to the players and fix the problem. Like in the video how there could be a special edit style for the original owners and then the skin comes back into the item shop. That would be a great idea for both epic to get tons of money from players and also the players for those who want to play with those skins like sypher said that he didn’t have full gold peeley and he played for that long.

@@ltisdabest21 my suggestion would be to have a battlepass legacy program exclusive to the crew subscription where every quarter a og map is released along with a respective bp of that season. players who owned the bp prior to legacy can grind it out for free while new players have to pay a crew subscription in order to access a old battlepass every three months. This will help epic make a profit and give the company a reason to bring back og maps and not exhaust their creativity with stupid reskins/remixes and can focus on the latest season separate from the legacy season og map.

Minecraft dungeons battlepasses aren't time sensitive. If you miss out on a season, you can buy it 3 seasons later, which I think is something that could work, but give special styles for completion within the current season

I hopped back into Fortnite briefly when the Loki Fortnite crew dropped. I came back into the fold heavy when Fortnite no build came about cause that’s all I ever wanted from OG Fortnite hated the building aspect (multiple people I know did too and they lost people that way) It 100% sucks that I can’t get Deadpool either or Aquaman, OG Spiderman, Wolverine etc. the collabs are a strong focal point of the game and if you take that away from everybody they will and im pretty sure have lost out on even more money. Heck, some people may delete the game off of that alone.

Imagine OG comes back once a year, and each year it’s a different map from a past season, and you get to purchase an old battle pass to complete during that mini season. Epic can get a break to continue to work on new stuff and new players get a chance to earn old stuff they missed out on, it’s a win/win. I can’t imagine how many players would return if they did something like this.

An idea that might work is something Overwatch used to do, where they had a limited time throwback event where you could get skins you may have missed before. That doesn't fix the fomo problem entirely but it's an idea
I agree with this a lot, I started playing fortnite in c2 s1, I wanted the mandalorian so bad, plus the next season and all the marvel skins, put sadly I was too young as a young teen I was not allowed to buy the battle pass. So I had to see exclusive skins like this come and go at the tip of my fingers, and all that was separating me and my favorite moments is just $10. I begged my parents to just buy the battlepass for me just once since I already knew you get your money back. But yet they still said no and that makes the pain even worse. I personally think they shouldn't add any more battle passes since the current one is already overwhelming as is plus the bonus rewards that require you to play 2x more since the bonus is another 100 lvls (did the math). Just imagine if Lego or rocket racing had a battlepass. Just thinking about it is enough to make one insane. I even remember moments like "OMG the mandalorian is here!" and getting sniped out of the sky. And Deadpool with his own ship and his twin pistols. Now I convinced my dad to play and now he is mad that he can't get Mando. The situation is only gonna get worse.

well epic can do one thing which may have mixed feelings but they can centralise the battlepass maybe call it the megapass(you know combined by all) and for the time issue they can just create a set of challenges which allows us the community to unlock what we have missed for example:- lets say we missed optimus prime so what they can do is they can add a quest tab which says remaining pass and that specific skin would be unlocked when the player reaches the exact level on which they were gonna be originally unlocking the skin
The quests from battlepasses that let you unlock styles and extra cosmetics should have no time limit. I've unlocked Drift's pickaxe like 2 or 3 seasons after the release of it.
So here’s my idea:
-Most seasons, colab skins will get extra styles, whether that’s superstyles or normal edit styles.
-As we saw with Skull Trooper Epic are open to allowing players to show off the fact they were an original owner by giving them a rare edit style
-So to compromise, they could bring back the old colabs for the new players, and keep the superstyles locked to those who previously owned the pass.
-And they should definitely allow players to complete challenges after the season is done

I honestly think that to satisfy this battlepass problem and satisfy the people that complain about too many collabs, fortnite should just never put collab skins in the battle pass, keep the timer for each season's battle pass, and have a full pass of original skins. So, if people like the original skins in the pass, they can buy and complete it. But, if people don't want to buy the pass, then they can still be appeased because all their favorite tv show or video game characters can still show up in the item shop sooner or later for them to buy.
That's a good idea but they should put alternate versions of the collabs in instead of the real one then later the real in the item shop.

honestly i’ve said for a while that they could set up a system where you pay ten bucks or so once then get to pick any battle pass skin you missed.

As a streamer, Initially, during the early stages of the game, I bought the battle pass but found myself mostly playing Save the World. It was enjoyable, but it meant that I couldn't devote time to both modes. Consequently, for several seasons, despite purchasing the battle pass, I couldn't complete it to level 100. This was frustrating, particularly since I was still actively engaged in the game. Now, although things have changed, looking back, I feel somewhat misled.
Additionally, considering EPIC's policy against selling accounts, I wonder why possessing old skins is such a big deal. (yes I know why) Perhaps they could introduce a feature like "OG Season Rewinds". In this, players could revisit old seasons - if you already purchased the battle pass for that season, you could continue to unlock items; if not, you'd have the option to buy it and then unlock items. Those who completed everything could unlock additional skins. As someone who paid for early access and has been with them since the beginning, it's disappointing to see the shift away from what initially made the game great.

One thing that irks me about these battle pass enthusiasts: they overlook a glaring issue with Fortnite. Each season, it gets slightly tougher to finish the pass. I've played daily for 4 years, and it's progressively become harder to reach level 200. Now, it's nearly impossible after 4 years.
It would be nice if you would just point out that every season takes a little bit more time than the season prior.

I wish they would set up a second shop that would bring in old battlepass skins, wraps, etc that would rotate out like the normal shop everyday and stick in new stuff. That way, people can buy the things they actually want instead of having to buy a whole pass. A example of that would be if say a player is trying to collect all of the Seven, but don't want the other skins that came in those passes? That player then can just go to that shop and then wait for each member of the Seven to appear and buy them.

I think the MAIN problem with allowing people to cintinue to unlock tiers from previos battlepasses is with the Weekly quest, How would those be bunched up? sometimes there are Season/Chapter specific quests you have to do, not to mention that you lose ALL your levels whenever a new season drops! so its deffinetly a confusing task
Halo lets you equip battle passes, and the access is permanent. You simply equip the battle pass and all xp from then on goes to the pass you equip, until you change it
so the Fortnite API actually saves every level you have ever gotten, for every season, its all listed right where epic can see it, the issue, would be quests themselves, so make it a limited number of levels passed whatever the max level is that season, maybe only 50 levels worth of rewards after every legacy pass item you have access to, maybe limit those to people who at least played that season to get a chance to spend real money to obtain it, or if you do own that battle pass, just dissallowing the use of spending Vbucks, instead make it a real money purchase

The best thing Epic could do for the community is to drop everything of the past Battle pass's on the Item Shop, and let people complete those Battle Pass's since they bought them.
Also IMO the 24h shop refresh is useless and annoying, just drop everything there like a huge catalogue in order to make people buy everything they want whenever they want.

id be so happy if they brought back collab skins from battlepasses and put them in the item shop. they could do somethign like clash royale where you get the item from the battlepass and then a year later or so they come to the item shop.
Here's an idea I've been having for a while now:
1. Remove the earnable V-bucks from old BP's.
2. Sell old BP's at double price.
3. Each season's challenges still offer XP, but you decide what BP that XP goes to yourself.
4. Still let people pay for levels in old BP's but once again, increase the price.
I had all of Chapter 1 Season 2 to 7 then stopped playing in Season 8, but lost it during the time account merging was possible, only realised it when I tried to play the game again in Chapter 4 Season 6, it sucks, and honestly, I would be fine with paying for it again if I could. I would absolutely get all the Chapter 1 BP's even at double price, and then on top of that I could also check out the other BP's I missed to see if I wanna get them too. The way I see it, Epic is literally sitting on a money-printing machine yet refuse to take advantage of it.
People have an incentive to play or buy the BP during the season of its release, for the lower price, and the ability to get back what you spent, but also have the option of paying a premium to get access to anything they may have missed. If you started late, you still have the ability to get the licensed characters, or story characters, or any other characters you may want, I think that the overlevels could be made earnable too, just increase the amount of XP required for the overlevels after the season ends.
Also if people are really so bothered with showing off then maybe add a profile badge for the seasons someone reached level 100, and 200 in.
Being an OG isn't a show of skill, or something to brag about in the way people do, all it means is you played the game during that time, that's it.

I feel like just so it is fair you can spend 100 v bucks to continue battle passes you bought and 1500 for battle passes you didn't buy
Every 5 to 10 battle passes, they should give the option to re-run one of the older battle passes "just for you" instead of unlocking the new battle pass if you so choose. Also I do like the idea of having more time to unlock cosmetics from the season pass once it ends, but keep the extra higher tier styles locked if you missed out. A centralized pass sounds intriguing but I'm not sure if that could work for Epic. The item shop and multiple passes now is definitely now out of control and overwelming. I agree, I think Epic is just trying to overwelm us with Fomo (fear of missing out) and I don't like it. I feel like other games do the battle pass thing better like Overwatch and Deceive inc. The latter game even allows you to progress on the pass after the season ends!
I always had this idea and I KNOW EPIC IS PROBABLY GOING TO USE IT, without giving me credit, but I thought that OG season was perfect to introduce Back to the Future characters and time tickets, epic time tickets would let you unlock battle passes that you didnt completed, legendary would let you unlock extra styles and mythic, being able to be purchase only once a year, would let you play older battle passes, this battle passes would not give u vbucks thought and other restrictions could be applied to make everything fair for those that were in FN first
You really do be keeping it real, Top5Gaming. From what I've been hearing, going the Halo: Infinite battle pass way and letting you complete the battle pass whenever, even after the season ends is the best way to go.
My personal suggestion is to atleast allow people who bought the battle pass to complete after the season ends cuz I myself bought the battle pass of season 5 Chapter 1 but never reached Tier 100 same for the next season but after chapter 1 they atleast made the grind to tier 100 easy but again made the rewards go past tier 100. So if adding Battle Pass skins to Item Shop is considered a bad option for Epic, they should atleast consider allowing people to complete the previously bought ones
This is how I feel about the Loki skin. They could have at least tried to do a collab with his tv show version or one of the versions from the tv show. They could have made alligator Loki a back bling option. I also didn't know Storm was an option as she was always my favorite character. I would have gotten her and Loki but didn't know about it.

Then you can pick which one you want to work on that way next time you level up, you can progress towards that battle pass. This'll help players get the skins they want while also bringing good profit to Fortnite.
Imo... We get an option to choose two bp for next season. One gonna be a old battle pass which came before and another one gonna be a new one they developed for the season. So, I can choose the old battle pass which I missed out and wait for the new battle pass devloped for the season later ( maybe after few years ).
So that the new outfit will stay exclusive for few years untill it comes back and also people who haven't played the old battle pass will get the skins.

Halo and fortnite are completely different. In halo you get a different colored visor or shoulder pad and in fortnite you get skins that have different variants. It wouldn't work and not worth epics time. I work 50 hours a week and have 3 kids and all 4 of us complete the battlepass in time for the next season
I feel that the best way they could bring back battle pass skins is give the OG owners an exclusive style. Like purple skull trooper.

Battle Passes are meant to be exclusive and on a timer, this pressures people to buy them so Epic can make money. What if you went through the stress of a whole battle pass just for epic to re-release it, you would feel like you wasted time. I think the best system would to have skin exclusive quests, like Omega: to earn his lights you should be able to have infinite time to do so, but the battle pass as a whole would exipire whenever and proceed with the seasons

I always being and will be against collabs in the BP, they don't need it is pure greed. I had to explain new players why they cannot have the fav characters (Vader, Mando and Superman) and it is pretty sad.
If they made a version of the battle pass that cost a little bit more to buy but you could keep unlocking the items even after the season ends I feel like that would solve a lot of the problems because people would get their full value but they would also spend money to buy the new battle pass as well so that they can get the new rewards aswell.
Thank you for making a video about this and bringing in other big creators. If epic sees the big creators talking about this its more likely something will be done about it
I definately agree with this video. I wish they'd allow people to have a cosmetic wishlist to see what sorts of cosmetics players want. There's tons of stuff from battle passes I want!

My personal opinion: I would make the fortnite shop an everything shop. There you would buy specific skins, bundles, passes, pickaxes, you name it. Every cosmetic in the game. This would fix any time pressure you have to complete passes and it would fix how people can't get certain items because they are locked behind a time barrier. I know half of the community would hate this and say that people shouldn't have access to everything, but the other half would be pleased as like you mentioned, maybe they missed out on a cosmetic because you couldn't play. It defeats the purpose of the featured shop however fortnite is already doing this with the festival and rocket racing sections of the shop, now they just need to extend it to include all items.
the fact that u just would need to get 100 tier to complete the pass is fine, but now i am at lvl 163 and i am far...far away from completing everything, and i am completly bored of do quests and sht to finally get the relive of finally ended this and i can have more joy plaing, couse who is trying to do a quest and dies on trying to, like misson so hard, like drop on the train and kill a person BEFORE getting out, not that many people drop on the drain is litteraly a 50/50 to died, couse u have to wait the chest. I think that this problem could be solve if u just have the pass to 100 and the bonus u just complete mission didnt have to griend 3 lvl to get on spray or something like that... just my opinion and i know that they are a company that wants u to buy tiers(sry for the bad english)

They should let all battle pass skins be unlockable and make a on unlockable style for those who didn’t get it first time
I am an og, i used to play all the time between 2017-2020 before quitting in early 2020 due to personal reasons. i missed out on almost 4 years worth if battle pass skins (some include my fav skins like eren, lorenzo, spiderman etc) and it kinda sucks tbh. i dont have it as bad, as i still have og battlepass skins, so i cant imagine how left out some new players must feel. the best way I think would to be release exclusive styles only for those who originally got the BP and then release the normal skin versions. if not for all skins, at least for collab skins.
TBH, they should make it like the cosmicubes in among us, you can still buy it at a later date, but like you said, only the bonus rewards stay exclusive.
Tbh, I wish crossovers where item shop only not in the battle pass because I now want carnage deadpool Aqumiman doctor strange darth vader, but I can't get it anymore also they should make seasons even longer like 5 to 10 months max

They should have done what halo infinite does where you can buy whatever battle pass you want from anytime and you can level that one up and then you can buy other older passes if yo by want
I wish they implemented a system where in Fortnite Crew you would get a past cosmetic from any battle pass that you previously missed or had to do like quests in order to get a last cosmetic
yea i was really upset when i didnt get to finish chapter 2 saison 2 & 3 i really loved the skins there but unfortunately i had big real life issues with my work place so i sadly missed out on i think the best battlepasses specialy chpt2 s2
