This voice was everywhere in the 90's. Too bad people didn't know it was her they were dancing to. Love you Martha & thank you for amazing house music.
Fun fact: Martha along with Sylvester were among the backup singers for the studio version of Freeway of Love. Randy Jackson was on bass, Carlos Santana provided auxiliary percussion and Clarence Clemens was the saxophonist
That’s debatable. Because Martha said she has never met Aretha despite her being Martha’s favorite singer. Her name also do not appear on the album credits. So Rolling Stone Magazine might be wrong. Although I never understood why Martha never asked her friend Jeanie Tracy to introduce her to Aretha. They were good friends
@@JLPerryTVIt’s possible that Martha sang on Narada Michael Walden’s pre-recorded background tracks from LA since Aretha laid all her lead vocals in Detroit during that period.
Such an excellent episode of Arsenio. She opened the show singing "Everybody Dance Now" with the band and it riled up the audience in a big way. Love her doin' her stuff live. Now she needs to sing her new stuff on Ellen.
One of my favorite singers!!! Thank you.
Martha Wash is by far...one of the greatest singers...on the planet!!!! 🎤🎼🎶👩🏾🎤
