Vacationing on a lake with family is the best and the memories last a lifetime.
Yeah... we love it every time we do it.... unless it is bug season in May! We did that once and got killed by black flies. My wife's eye actually swelled almost shut from bites. 😱 Learned our lesson on timing 😂
Beautiful landscapes!
Yeah... some of my happy places for sure!
What an incredible video! It was so beautiful and cinematic, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Maya! I imagine my daughters are not too much younger than you. My oldest is a senior and off to college soon. I wanted to make this video to memorialize one of our adventures and to always be able to look back on it. Videos like this don't really perform well on my channel because of the technical nature of the following I've built. But these videos are my favorite so I'm glad you liked it! 😊
Spent a lot of time as a kid in the ADKs. Even was lucky enough to work a few summers in Old Forge and Big Moose. Such great memories. Love that south western park of the park. Thanks for the reminder. Gotta get back over there!
That's awesome! We love the area so much! Hope you can get back there soon.
Nice family. Looks like you all had a great time and created some nice memories.
Thank you! We always have fun in the outdoors! :)
Very nice video! Really enjoyed it. Loved your reflection on life when you were at that clearing. Also, great quality time spent with your family. Thank you for producing such a quality video. Must’ve been a lot of work but well worth it. Nicely done!
Thanks Jim! It was definitely a lot of work and not the typical video you see on my channel, but it is nice to have at least one of our family trips memorialized in a video like this.
I missed this last video! Glad I just checked your page. I also noticed you got those trucker hats on your page now! I will be sure to order one asap!
Yeah...Thanks for watching. The non-tutorial videos never seem to do that well lol. And YES... I finally launched an online store for our stuff 😀
Family goals 💪
Yeah... It's nice to have videos like this to look back on... especially when they're grown and gone...
Nice!
Thanks!
“This is where i’m meant to be, this is where im supposed to be not in an office somewhere working my life away i’m meant to be in the outdoors and in the wilderness out exploring and adventuring” Me to i just wish i could make ot up to the ADKs more and i cant wait to go back to camp ots way better then school the ADKs are where i belong. -Mikey Spinner
Hey Mikey! I see you've been doing a lot of hiking lately and I heard about your overnight trip too which is awesome! You're following in you dad's footsteps for sure! The love of the outdoors and the Adirondacks is something you'll always have and you just have to make time to enjoy it no matter what else you have going on!
Wow, you have a wonderful vision for your future. My wife and I made the move into retirement 5 years ago. Never a look back. Decided to "SEE AMARICA FIRST". 1st year we spent about 3 months camping. Next year was our 50th Anniversary and went to Western Australia and did 6 weeks of travel there. I don't want any kind of a job, that would take some time out of fishing. WE live in Washington state. Planning new places each year.
That sounds amazing!!! Happy for you and can't wait for our adventures!!!
I think we all became spoiled with old forge being so close to where we grew up. That area, as you described, just has a different type of Adirondack feel compared to other Adirondack towns like Lake Placid or even Saranac Lake. Right now probably my favorite Adirondack place is the Cranberry Lake/Wanakena area. It is so quaint and peaceful in that area and everyone knows everyone.
Yeah... I think one of the great things about the ADKs is that they are so huge and diverse. You really get a different feel in so many areas and you can literally spend a lifetime exploring up there and never touch it all. I love that!!!
You’re a good man Bryan Spinner. Proud to be your friend.
Lee
LOL... At first I was like, Who is adkjamis46? 😂 I was just talking about you with the Antonoffs a few weeks ago.
Can't explain it but that part of the Adirondacks has it's own presence and feel. It's unlike any other part of those mountains somehow. Been going up there since '75 and it has always felt that way. Something special and different there
I know what you mean. The Adirondacks are special in that they vary so much. I feel like they have so much to offer in different regions. I've spent a lot of time in that particular region (Old Forge to Blue Mountain Lake) and it is a favorite place for me with a mix of small mountains, lakes and tons of paddling, tons of wilderness area. I had a friend who lives near me but only knew the Lake George area of the Adirondacks. We had them up to our camp several years ago and his comment was that it didn't feel like the Adirondacks... and that was only because he really didn't know the Adirondacks.
BEST TOCO HACK EVER
My wife and kids taught me... it is pretty easy!
Retirement is great. I highly recommend it.
I can't wait to retire and do this full time!!!!! Glad you're enjoying your retirement!
Old Forge is wonderful but for me it is Inlet
Yeah... We like Inlet too! The fast motion was driving through inlet.
Where could someone get that tent, awesome video like always
The camper is a Sylvan Sport Go Camper.. We got ours at a store called Mountain Man but I don't think they sell them anymore. The tent that attaches to the Go Camper is the "GoZeebo". It's a great little setup and the trailer part is great hauling all of our gear! We love it! Just Google Sylvan Sport Go Camper and you'll find them.
