Just when everyone thought LEDs were cool mother nature shows us what cool really is.
I know, I live in San Diego, and I’m so lucky
Heh let's see nature make a digital watch!
Spent a few years in San Clemente when I was 18 or so... it was nice but there are lots nicer beaches in the world. Haven't been back since they destroyed their downtown.
My LEDs change colour. This doesn't.
Underrated comment
@@muszr00m this is natural, your LEDs aren’t.
The natural world has all the entertainment we could ever need
Can’t share it without our electronics
yeah Natflix is the best
@@chreif lol, I like it!
Moo tube is good too
Praise God! He is the Creator of these created things.
This is the most beautiful thing I had ever seen
It would be more beautiful to see the world and it's inhabitants living in harmony as originally intended.
I know people think it's dramatic but whenever I see something like this out in nature, I cry. It's so damn beautiful 🥺
Totally me too 🤗
Same
I was on the beach that night...I cried. It was beautiful and stinky...but mostly beautiful
and this is only in this life. allah said he made a heaven no one ever heard of and no one ever saw and no one can even imagine how Beautiful place it is. can u imagine ✨
@@daboss8301 shut up bro. If you're so eager to get to heaven, do us all a favour and go already.
I witnessed this in person when I was a child it was so breathtaking I will never forget it.
Reminds me of when the grandma in Moana is shown as a manta ray spirit.
IceSmash ikr
Austin Rosado who’s serena?
Uncle Iroh huh
Beautiful!!
The bioluminescence is known as “red tide,” or an algal bloom, which is a large concentration of microorganisms in the water. On sunny days, the water gives off a murky reddish hue, and at night, when the organisms are agitated by movements, they emit a neon blue glow.
Yes cyanobacteria glows you can even see it in space.
Wouldn't that cause the water to become dirty or is it still safe to siwm in?
Yes but sometimes its just regular bioluminescent water
@@Bombsym then how does that occur
@@uriel6018 Plants inside of the water which will drop this glowing particles which will make the water glow when moved around
This is amazing. Wish I could have caught some waves with my dad during something like this. He would have loved it. Nature is crazy.
I’ve experienced this here in New Zealand, one night went fishing in the river every time I’ll touch the water it started glowing was like avatar the movie. Will never forget it was amazing
Just went today and it’s even better in person 😍😍
What beach
granjaaurora Venice Santa Monica Manhattan
Are they still glowing ??
Yes there still glowing a little
San Clemente pier is not glowing anymore =(
I saw this one night when I lived in Ventura, CA. It was about 9:30pm and I was sitting on the beach and with every wave breaking it was like there was a 3 foot high green neon light behind it. Mind-blowing.
For these lucky guys it must've been like surfing in Avatar.
*"See the line where the sky meets the sea it calls me"*
"How far I'll go"
No it doesn't 😂
@@Emma_madison it’s from Moana…💀
Our planet is beautiful to behold, full of wondrous sights, sounds, smells.
Beauty is all around us for those who have the eyes to see it
Beautiful beyond belief. Like magic. Usually things that glow blue like that kill you in minutes. But this is nice.
Try stepping on it and splashing it. It glows! Tried this today in la jolla so cool!
What? What part of LA?
@@antoniocruz9302 la Jolla is in near San Diego
I was doing it in Santa Monica it was epic
Growing up in this town was an experience of a lifetime. I miss it.
Really wish I was home to witness this gorgeous display of a light show. God I miss America
Barlos Bugo where you at
Come back homeboy.people take this great land for granted
Jesse Santos overseas assignment
Barlos Bugo I feel ya we left Dana Point to move up to the Central Valley for a job, been stuck up here now for six years and I have to say I miss the sounds of the night waves crashing up to shore that would put me to sleep every night.
Come back and stop serving a country that doesn’t care about your life lol
Aside from falling stars, this has got to be the most beautiful thing in the world.
Wow! This is so amazing! I never see a bue bioluminescent in the sea! Thank you very much for sharing this outstanding footage!
How can you not find the natural beauty of this world to be beyond spectacular after seeing this
This splendid scenery makes me feel amazing
So cool, you can just fall asleep watch'n this beautiful water, just like the dolphins in the same kinda water🌜💙🌛
I've lived in California all my life why have I never heard of this?
Shasta valley outdoorsman I think this phenomenon is a pretty recent thing, so that may be why
@@todlerr that is my point my friend. That seems like a normal evolutionary development?
There's currently a bloom in California of the phytoplankton, specifically Dinoflagellates, that cause it, but you can see them bioluminesce in oceans anywhere in the world. It's one of the coolest things, and we don't know why they do it.
@@mydogdeli it's absolutely magnificent I am just amazed I have never heard of it before.
I saw it as a child in San Diego like 06 i think. Then again now that im 25 I'm suprised more people havent heard of it
That is so beautiful eye catching. Majestic
Blessings to whoever is reading this!
This show how once everyone went into quarantine, nature started healing.
Maybe I'll be the only positive comment here minus any sarcasm. That was really cool
ABC7! 🌊🏄🌊
astoundingly magical! thank you, Mother Nature!
so magical yet so beautiful
Oh crap this is cool I love to surf on glowing waves
This is almost looks like a sci-fi scene...beautiful
I went on a night dive with a marine and the only thing we saw was a seal that we could see coming from about 50-75 yards away darting around under the sea it was so beautiful. Came right up to our faces and said hello then darted straight away. Could see everything crystal clear with the blue light it really does look like this video here. I’m sure the seal could see up from hundreds of yards away with that light under the surface like that.
Great. Now I'm even MORE homesick stuck in blah norcal.
Why can't you return?
Stuck here in Central California too, I miss South Orange County so much!
@@MIKECNW Husband can't find a job in his field for at LEAST $40/hr - Unless someone is wealthy, one canNOT live comfortably in a safe area even 15 mi inland from the beaches without a decent salary. That's why, Mike. Have any ideas?
@@FriendofRamblinJack Try to see yourself in a metaphorical prison. It might help
Being able to Surf on it is just so cool sounding and epic
Truly amazing and the sound track playing amplifies it. What is the track @abc7
We have this alot at our beach in Belgium it's been like this for a month now
Nog nooit gezien in Belgie, waar dan?
I'm 64 now windsurfing for about 53 years! I served 55-foot in 1975 San Diego North bird!
gosh, i'd love to see that in person
How absolutely beautiful is that wow, wow
It looks like surfing a thunderstorm!
Going to a place like this in on top of my bucket list
This is so cool! It looks like something that would be in the movie Moanna.
What are they using for a camera? That's kind of impressive.
I remember going to the beach when this happened. The video truly can't capture the beauty. Great job though
It’s a form of bioluminescent plankton. They turn colors when moved around. So anywhere there is energy or impact they light up. I seen a survival show where this happened to people stuck adrift
"The power of creation For a crustacean!!!" -🦀🦀🦀
(I know these are plankton type creatures)
Tesla tried to copy this
so beautiful i never see these before ! god is creative:) they were enjoy swim. Wow Bright baby blue ! but the other country never have Bright Baby Blue but its ONE San Diego wow its interesting .
This looks like when manta ray spirit came out from the sea in Moana. Also it reminds me of Elsa's magic. Feels like some kind of Nordic magic. ❤
It's a once in a lifetime experience
That's beautiful
Those waves were gettin lit bruh
cool edit...
Dinoflagellates' bioluminescence never cease to amaze me, beautiful subhanaAllalh
Wow who makes it glow it looks really cool
Awesome!
Magical❤😢❤
Will this happen up north like Santa Cruz/ Monterey/ San Jose beaches?
that’s so cool!
It’s magical!
Beautiful
Amazing indeed
How often does this happen?
The craziest thing about this video is the fact that the video quality looks like it was recorded with a potato.
About 30 years ago I invented a night surfing light neoprene cap! The night cap! Surfing 8 ft peaks at windansea 3 in the morning!
I just went to the beach today and I saw them
My right ear enjoyed this.
I saw bioluminescence on tiktok and thought it was a filter or sum never heard of this before, it is so cool 😳
Thats soo cool
Magical. 🤩
I went to the beach to watch it a long time ago
You don't need drugs to enjoy That
Only to enhance it !!!
that parttt.
So awesome.
So Very Cool ❤️🧡💛
Nature’s magic
The camera is making that more bright then usual so I’m guessing the effect of the glow is subtle and faint but still mesmerizing to see lol that’s the soul reason I want to see the ocean is to witness the glowing waters
Amazing
First music in the video?
are they still there? does anyone know?
When does this happen?
What beach is this and how can we see this?? Is the beach closed at night because of Covid19?
yes but there is places that are open. like the san clemente train station metrolink close to pch. i was there yesterday and today and it look pretty cool. but there was less algie today and not very bright like yesterday
You can also try La Jolla Beach.
@@adelavillalpando2935 can you see bioluminescence waves crashing against rocks or just at beach?
TheHauntingHour I am more concerned about finding parking
@@tigrisdijla9236 check out scripps beach cam about 8p. You can see if bioluminescence is still going on. No parking issues later in evening.
When will it end ?
Wow!
Can you see it in laguna beach?

Crazy Hiker Gamer until people start returning to the beaches and the world turns back to normal.
Plankton use to see it behind my ship all the time
You must feel so cool when you are surfing in bioluminescent water and start pulling tricks
Wow🥺🥺
Can someone explain to me why it glows?
