  • I mispeak on this video at 2:22. I meant to say vision is inconsistent at 1 month of age not at 6 months of age as I said.
Torticollis is a condition in which a baby's head is "twisted" or turned to the side and tilted to the opposite side. Here the babies have their head tilted to the right and turned to the left. It can also happen in adults but this playlist is dedicated to the treatment of torticollis in babies. I would like to thank Bode's family who allowed me to come into their home for 6 hours at a time to film him starting when he was 1 month old. ...And then to return and do it again. Wow! Bode does not have torticollis. Bode was quite tolerant of being turned and stretched this way and that. I hope you find these videos useful. If you believe your baby has torticollis, consult your doctor and a pediatric physical therapist with experience treating a child with torticollis for a program specifically designed to address your specific child's recommendations. Do not delay. Earlier treatment is predictive of better outcomes and shorter treatment.
Here are the clinical guidelines for treatment of congenital Muscular Torticollis:

Since these videos are presented in progressive order of difficulty, it may be helpful to watch them in order. Here is the link to the playlist: • Torticollis Treatment

Here is my Torticollis playlist maybe it can help you. You will need to have your child assessed by someone locally. There is no way I can help you from here about a specific child that I cannot personally see.

So my son just turned 3 months yesterday. I do tummy time often but didn’t notice he favored his right side more. Also his head jerks a lot basically almost knocking you out if he accidentally hits you too hard. So would that mean he has right side torticollis? And would need to rotate him more to his left?
    Thank you for this video!

If a child turns his head to the right and tilts his head to the left, he has left sided Torticollis. If he turns his head to the left and tilts his head to the right, he has right sided Torticollis. I recommended if you have questions about your son that you consult with a local therapist. In the meantime, here is my Torticollis playlist: Torticollis Treatment

    Dear Mem,
My baby is 6 month old and 6.1 kgs he has perforation in small intestine it was detected after two days of birth so three surgery were done and ileostomy was done. My boy remained in hospital during two surgery for 20 days in ICU. and 5 days in hospital after third surgery. He was very skinny after discharge. Now he has slight tortocholis in neck right side. He is not achieving his growth milestones. He does not like tummy time and cries a lot he does not turn by himself. During rolling exercise he makes his body stiff.
Please suggest us some therapy and excercise to make his growth proper and normally

I am so glad you found this playlist to help your child’s torticollis. Infant massage and talking as much as possible to your baby is highly recommended. Here is a video

This playlist may help you, but because your child has an atypical presentation, it would be best to consult with a local pediatric physical therapist to customize a program specifically for your child.
