    if you use the jcb fastrac 3000 Xtra with the seeder you can place a pallet on the flat part of the tractor and when the planter runs out you can just refill it. so you can go twice as long before you have to fill it again. I figured that out when I was playing 15 and was planting alot of Saplings

      Or use a front end loader on the tractor and forks to carry a extra pallet

    • @The_Black_Knight
      @The_Black_Knight Před 4 lety +1

      An experienced farmer can place multiple pallets on the planter manually for quick "reloads". This requires finesse and telehandler to stage the positioning. You can load up to 80 trees with the unmodded planter

    You are actually skipping lot of poplar trees, because you harvest two lines of them. See those dark stripes on a harvested field? they actually are unharvested "invisible" poplar trees. Try to harvest those dark stripes and you notice that your storage fills up.
    Just a interesting game mechanic which is good to know.

    I used a worker to plant my poplar field, moved the tractor so the planter so it was centered over the tire tracks of the first planting. It planted another row between the original 2 rows. Haven't harvested it yet but if this works, it should produce more chips. My idea is to wait till the first planting is half grown, and replant the field. When the first is ready to harvest, the 2nd is half grown. And repeat

  • @Churbas
    @Churbas Před 7 lety +1

    One tip that wasn't included in the video - Make sure, if you're attaching a trailer to your forage harvester, that you get one like in the video shown, with a rotating draw bar and front wheels. If you get one without, it'll shove your harvester around like you're driving on ice, and you'll practically have to fight the harvester the whole time to keep it on a straight track.

  • @AceCrasher24
    @AceCrasher24 Před 7 lety

    Although this video is quite old, this tutorial is not showing proper poplar harvest efficiency. The best method including FS19 is to "double plant" rows manually which increases efficiency and yield per acre. You can also manually stage multiple loaded pallets on a planter for reloading, up to 80 trees.This is particularly important since poplar regrows.There is no need for repositioning the forage harvester. Additionally, if used an attached trailer to a harvest forager, use an extended dolley with a semi trailer for proper turns and harvesting.

    • @AceCrasher24
      @AceCrasher24 Před 7 lety

      they are very simple, each increases storage size by a certain amount, and can only be placed near the main silo.
      hayloft stores hay if you don't want to sell it.
      wood chipper sells straight so you don't have to worry about anything other than log transport.

    Hey moose how can you tell how much wood chips u have? I have a huge stock pile and i look at the prices menu and it says i have 0

    • @kadawg13
      @kadawg13 Před 7 lety +1

      it will only count what you actually have in your silo. it is probably left over code from FS 15 that is trying to tell you how much you have for potatoes, sugar beets, and wood chips because there were dedicated spots to put those in 15.
      one thing I have found is that you can store potatoes and sugar beets at the train depot, I was told that it costs money to store them in the depot silos (I have not tested this myself) so you might want to store them on the actual train. I'm not sure if the train will take wood chips or not.

    • @Moose2006LP
      @Moose2006LP  Před 7 lety

      It's digestate. I explain it in my Liquid Manure video if you want to watch it but basically whatever you sell at the biogas plant will convert about 1/3 of it to digestate which can be used in slurry tanks to fertilize fields.

    • @shaned5590

      Ron Anderson yes you put out either slurry or manure pellets same as you would on a real farm.

    • @VoidOneGamer
      @VoidOneGamer Před 7 lety

      Ron Anderson yes grass can be fertilized but only if you plant it. So if you plow, seed w/fertilizer and spray I think twice you can get full yield and it's basically permanent on that field of grass since you just mow and it grows back. Hopefully you figured that out by now lol. Just remember that fertlizing does nothing if it is grass naturally growing on the map.
