You forgot to film Education City! Arguably the most important place in Qatar.
@John Spry. We are teachers here. The security services are vigilant to protect the country from extremist violence. They have the best surveillance systems money can buy. I think your greater concern should be the school at which you might teach. Quality varies widely. Most private schools are for-profit ventures. And be aware that there is something called an exit visa. You have to apply to your employer for any trip out of the country. Finally, our 17 years as expats (in Malaysia and Qatar) has taught us that your contentment is largely based on your attitude and the quality of the friendships you make -- with expats and with locals. Hey everyone, I am thinking about teaching in Qatar (I am an canadian certified teacher) but... as ignorant as this may sound... I am a little afraid of terrorist... I know, I know, Qatar is one of the richest places in the world... that most of their population is migrants and they wouldn't be able to support that population if they even had one major attack... but, I wonder, how can it be that they are so rich and increasingly western and not attract terrorist who seek to protect the islamic world form westernization?
