Commoner simply means she was not born into an aristocratic family and her parents don't have titles. Many "commoner" women are infinitely more talented than any born royal could have ever claimed to be.
Not really into the whole royalty thing or aristocracy but both Kate and William have my respect as seemingly decent people as did the late Queen Elizabeth the Second. I’m slowly warming to Charles too.

This is the modernity of the royal family. The future queen playing the piano in the background to compliment the real singer and the spotlight is on him, not her. Tom Walker later described all the time they spent jamming, rehearsing, and planning, and how they were both nervous the actual stage performance would go wrong somehow. I think he looks back and smiles at her to say, "We did it!" And she smiles back. All their hard work had paid off. It was very sweet.

I attended the funeral of my last surviving and favorite uncle this afternoon and this song has provided me with a great deal of comfort this evening.
The Duchess of Cambridge is simply magical tonight.
A future Queen playing piano with no huge spotlight on her. This song is especially special as this was a sweet way to remember Prince Philips passing. We all have lost a loved one and it reminds us how we need to appreciate those loved ones as they are on borrowed time. Love Catherine Wales.

As an American, I’ve been a fan of the Duchess for years. Going down the rabbit hole of videos after hearing of the Queen’s passing and I found this video. I’m in tears. I’m 22 years old and my healthy father passed away very unexpectedly 2 months ago. This is a beautiful tribute to those who won’t be with us this upcoming holiday season.

I am in tears…well done to everyone involved in this beautiful song..my grandmother just passed away in October. 2 weeks before we had a video call where she promised I will see her next her when I hopefully, Covid-19 permitting visit her in Jamaica..but she had an heart attack and died..she was the last part of my great-grandmother who was, and will always be my hero. That is what Catherine excels at, sharing the spotlight rather than trying to fill it. She doesn't even realise why her star shines so brightly. Her humility, grace and kindness means that while others are polishing their own name plaques and pushing themselves forward for attention, her star shines naturally and continues to rise.

As a pianist, I can say I would LOVE to hear her play in her own relaxed setting. She has clearly had excellent training and learned very well, technically she has all the skills, control and understanding of how to listen to and play with other musicians. I’d love to hear a little more natural expression coming through, as I think she has the ability in spades. A wonderful achievement and beautiful, humble performance by all.
I think I read that she took piano lessons for 13 years !
Maybe we can start a petition that she starts her own channel with her playing piano by herself or with other musicians. I'd definitely subscribe! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
