How to Make a Recipe Box | Handmade Recipe Box | Paper Recipe Box | DIY Recipe Box
In this video, I will show you step by step, how to make your very own Pocket Recipe Box which you can use on your countertop not just to hold recipes but as a gorgeous addition to your kitchen décor!!
This box is very versatile and can also be used as a scheduling box for a school or your daily activities so you can label it Monday - Friday and one for the weekend.
As usual, with creating, your options are endless.

Materials you'll need to make your Recipe Box:
All sizes are in INCHES.
1. For the box you would need:
a. 1 piece of cardstock 11 x 8 ¼ in rose gold
b. 1 piece for the back section 7 x 5 7/8 in rose gold
c. 1 piece for the rear of the back section 7 x 5 7/8 in designer paper
d. 1 piece for the front of the back section 6 3/8 x 5 7/8 in designer paper
e. Decorative Layers for box:
i. 2 pieces for LAYER ONE 5 7/8 x 2 3/8 in green (front and back)
ii. 2 pieces for LAYER ONE 3 1/8 x 2 3/8 in designer paper (sides)
iii. 2 pieces for LAYER TWO 5 ¾ x 2 ¼ in green (front and back)
iv. 2 pieces for LAYER TWO 3 x 2 ¼ in designer paper (sides)
2. For inside pockets you would need:
a. 6 piece of cardstock 10 7/8 x 7 ½ - 3 brown and 3 cream
3. For labels you would need:
a. 6 printed labels to fit your die cut or you can simply cut these in rectangles if you do not have a die cutting machine
b. 1 die cut 1 x 1 ½
c. Big shot machine
4. For each recipe card you would need:
a. 1 piece 5 ½ x 5 in brown with a scalloped top so it will end up being 5 ½ x 4 ¾
b. 1 piece 5 ½ x 4 in rose gold
c. 1 piece 5 ½ x 3 ½ in white with design to write recipe
5. 3 buttons in coordinating colors
6. 1 piece of ribbon for the top 2 ½ x 1
7. Ribbon for around your box and for the bow
8. Paper Cutter
9. Bone folder or ruler to burnish score lines

11. Ruler
12. Pencil

14. Glue or adhesive tape

I love it! I think of making a recipe box myself because I don't like copybooks. I wouldn't make it as decorated as the video because I prefer minimal things but I will definitely use this as an inspiration
