'Top Speed Germany' is a German CZcams channel for people who love cars.
My Name is Max and I film while driving cars. No matter if they are old, fast, loud or electric. They need to be special! With several onboard cams, I record everything important to show you High-Speed-Runs, Acceleration tests ( 0-100 kph / 0-200 kph / 100-200 kph / 200-300 kph ) and test drives on German Autobahn or Road. Please note, Germany is the country of "no speed limit" highways. So in some places, it's allowed to drive very fast. But please don't try this if you are not an experienced driver !! If you enjoy give a like and subscribe for more videos ;-) .
There's no disturbing noise in a 30-year-old car. Still rocky and still missile. Respecting Mercedes engineers
exactly...one characteristic thing about these old cars...if the they've been well maintained..
respect!
u should also give respect a man who took care of his car all those years :3
you didnt hear whinning noise? maybe from diff.
@@lacika_dnb that's the turbine :)))
That's smoother than 95% of the "modern" cars...
its has a pretty modern suspension tho. also older mercedes were built more for comfort and a smooth ride than modern ones. even the freaking e200 has a "sporty" suspension.
Yeah... I rented a shitty new toyota hatchback and was afraid of going over 60kmph. The whole car was shaking. My 190e, I'm comfortable going 180+.
This is number one bullshit. I've had one, and other cars before and since. It was a good car for its time, but the modern equivalent has driver modes to maximise comfort or sportiness, and is therefore far better in each area. It's a different league and anyone who thinks Mercedes ride quality has gone backwards is ignoring the facts.
Good car, for an old car.
@@mrwitteridge3949 The modern Mercedes S Class with magic body control has amazing ride quality, but the modern C and E Class? It's shit mate I've had W204, W205, W212, C207. My 190e rides nicer than any of them any time, any mode any road.
Sorry but modern cars are compromised towards a sportier feel and as such the ride quality is compromised, depends what you're after.
It's an old shitty car
My grandfather was a Turkish worker working in Germany, he had a 190 D. He had brought it to Turkey when he was making a definite return (2000) He was a 1986 model and was in motion until he was 34 years old and eventually died by cracking the engine block. Instead, he bought a 2017 model Fiat Tipo and never gives the comfort it gives. We will remember you with your magnificent voice and wipers "baby benz"⁷

I have a 1991 190E 2.3- 402,000 kms on it, no rust and runs perfect- I've only driven it to 140 kph- there are speed limits here in Canada. A great car and I've owned at least 15 Mercedes since 1971. I was in Germany 2 years ago and was amazed at the number of them still on the road.

yeah mercedes engineers deserve massive respect
Rana Gulraiz Hassan now Mercedes isn’t run by engineers anymore so they don’t care about making a highly quality product that makes people genuinely love the brand. It’s ran by businessmen who just want to make as much money as they can. In the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s Mercedes was run by engineers, and it showed in the quality and reliability of the cars they made. I’m sad to say it, but Mercedes is losing touch with what people want and just slap as much technology in there cars as they can and call it a luxury car, just like every other car company at the moment. We need Mercedes to go back to being run by engineers so that the company will survive long into the future.
@@ReallyBrotha Confirm, fancy screens and touchpanels cant repleace luxury and reliability, now mercedes benz is seen as typical "expensive" brand like BMW or AUDI where MB was gateway to superluxury cars like Bentley, Maybach, Roll's Royce
Night Nine it’s sad that “luxury” nowadays is just technology that’s useless instead of a good and reliable car.

I have hit ~200 km/h in my 89 190E 2.0 4-speed manual. Absolutely legendary machine. It’s my first car (I’m not an inexperienced driver though!) and I will never get rid of it!
at what rpm ? only 4 speed and 200km/h in a 190e 2,0l must be at high rpm. did you unlock the rev-limiter for that ?
@@PhantomWoIf nah that checks out. since the 1,8 sits at 4200rpm at 130kmh in 4th gear we can use the different differential gearing ratios (3,46/1 for the 1,8 and 3,23/1 for the 2,0), you can calculate an aproximate rpm value of 3920 rpms at 130kmh. if you divide that by 130kmh and multiply it by 200kmh you get about 6032rpms, just shy of the 6500 rpm redline.

Well there is i slight diverence to a modern car, compared to the newer ones.
The reason why newer cars are "slightly less in quality" is because they are made to do so.
So you can buy new parts and the cars still would be safe (in most of the cases).
The older cars are made with the knowledge of them being durable and strong, but with the downside that these automobiles are death threats no. 1, ones they've made a huge collision.
I'm not telling your right nor wrong, i'm just explaining the reasonings behind it.
30 years old and still better than many of the newer cars.
better how? looking yes, feeling yes, safety/efficiency/performance? no.
I still belive the performance and saftey is above a Dacia Sandero by a long shot

@@midknight34 I own a 1990 325i 2.5 , 167hp, abs locked dif and good mileage on mpg... I also drive new cars at a dealership everyday where I work. And I KNOW FOR A FACT that as much as I love my old 3 series, it is no where near as safe, comfortable, efficient, refined, quiet, and environmentally friendly as anything newer.
@@robertcrampton2155 true, but because of that, the newer ones are also infinitely more boring. ;-)
