Miasto ma bardzo długa historie.Za datę powstania miasta uważa się 1225 rok kiedy to ówczesny król Czech Przemysł Ottokar Pierwszy utworzył miasto króleskie zwane Hradec Kralove.

1:15 Richeza didnt buy the town( or those other NE Bohemian towns) but they were legally dowry towns of Bohemian queen to provide for her and her court after death of her husband and later they got to control them right from after the wedding without the need for their husbands to die first( if they weren't given already to the still living queen dowager).
