What an exciting stack of books! I read Evocation and I loved it. I have been swamped late May, and haven't had much time for myself but I indulged myself with this read when it came in. 💜
As for history of pride, I have heard good things about Stonewall by Martin Duberman? It's an older book, but it looks quite promising as a primer on thr subject. 🍄

This is my first video from you! Sounds like great reads. I have just finished a book Just My Type which is a romance. I don’t have a set TBR so I’m just winging it. Some maybes are The Bandit Queens by Parini Shroff, the Hazelbourne Ladies Motorcycle and Flying Club by Helen Simonson, Yours from the Tower by Sally Nicholls, and Throne of the Fallen by Kerri Manscalco

I do love Jane Austen July, I haven't taken part the last 2 years, I've not been feeling classics... hopefully I get back into them, I have soooo many to read 😅
My vote is for Finley Donovan. The second one isn't as good as the rest of the series, but it is still fun. I picked up the fourth book recently, though I haven't had a chance to read it yet. I hope your reads go well. 🍄

My vote is Finlay Donovan🔎 you’ve been reading a lot of fantasy so it might be good to switch it up. I’ll be trying to read the entire interdependency series by John scalzi which should be fun. The books aren’t too long and I want to try reading more series back to back. I’m also hopefully tackling words of radiance this month which is a big one. I’m also so excited for the tainted cup as our book club pick.

The Jane Austen letters book looks really intriguing, I didn't know it even existed, plus I love me an illustrated anything. I have a couple of trans/queer non-fiction to recommend for Pride month:
- A Trans Man Walks Into a Gay Bar by Harry Nicholas
- Female Husbands by Jen Manion
- The Stonewall Reader (I haven't read yet but it's on my June tbr)

🍄 that is an interesting selection of books. I am interested in what you think of The Tainted Cup as I have been considering buying it but I want to see if you like it before I buy it. I don't do a TBR for the month but I am planning on continuing with The Atlas Six series next month once I have finished Caraval.

@@ReadingNymph It started slow, at one stage I didn't think I would finish it but then the story took off so I hope the second book is slightly more action-packed than the first one.
Aurora King gets my vote as I have heard the second Finlay Donovan books is not as good as the first one.

For Pride non-fiction, I highly recommend 'Outrageous!: The Story Of Section 28 And Britain’s Battle For LGBT Education' by Paul Baker. It's even more timely now with the uk government taking massive steps backwards in this regard.

@ReadingNymph I just really enjoy your videos, and your taste seems to really align with mine 🙂 Most other BookTubers I watch like Fantasy and Sci-fi whereas I'm not big on Sci-fi but love Fantasy, murder mystery and classics. That and I like your vibe!
🍄🍄🟫🍄Aurora King is my vote. Quite a varied June TBR! I will finish The Witcher series in June and most likely start the Liveship Traders series by Robin Hobb after that. Finished Death Comes to Marlow-I did guess the villain correctly in that one. Still enjoyed it though and will be picking up book 3 when it’s released. Your filming corner has so much space now!!!
