I used to read a lot of thrillers but I haven’t read any in awhile and honestly I don’t know if the ones I used to like I would still consider good 🙃 I think I’m just much more a horror book person and I always wanted the thrillers to go more in that direction. Riley sager was also a 50/50 author for me that I decided not to continue his books

Now I'm so intrigued by Baru. Someone once told me if I liked Gideon the Ninth, I'd probably like Baru, but never really said why. I get it now. And yes, I do want to read it even more now.

Looks like a great tbr. I need to start picking up short story collections again. I normally love them. I have yet to set any tbrs for this next month/season so I really got to get on that lol

I use both autumn and fall, autumn is closest to otoño (Spanish) so it's my prefrence but regardless of what you call it, it's my favorite reading vibe.🧡 I watched the 1930s Dracula film yesterday to get in the mood. 🧛🍂🍁

Just finished All The Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham. This is her second book It was a total disappointment very slow and drawn out.

I'm new to having a Booktube channel and still need to record my first video, hopefully in the next day or so. I'm loving the community and seeing all the cozy season tbr choices. I'm going to be doing monthly themes for my TBR. For September, my theme is "scholarly Spectacles and Midnight Mysteries." It's a combination of dark academia and circus/carnival related books.

oh man The Masquerade series sounds amazing! Added that to the list. Nona the Ninth is on my TBR for this spooky season, probably in November. Looking forward to it.

I’m American and I go in between saying both fall and autumn…haha. But I think I say fall more often? Not sure haha. I live in Korea and here it’s called “가을“ which is hard to explain how to pronounce through text…but the word I can think of that sounds most like it in English(?) would be “Khal” as in Khal Drogo from GoT 😂😂😂

I hear people use the words autumn/fall about equally. I usually say autumn. Oooh, I just picked up The Bleeding for my Kindle. Like you, there are so many books that I'm determined to read during a certain time of year. But my taste runs so strongly towards the genres that I'd read in autumn that I fall father and farther behind on my "autumn tbr". I have no idea what I'll be reading in these next three months because my focus keeps changing - first I planned to go full gothic, then I started looking for horror/weird contemporary novels, and now I'm leaning towards witchy books. But currently I'm halfway through a Terry Pratchett book club selection and the newest T. Kingfisher because my library had it, and I have two more library books to prioritize - a whodunnit and a YA dystopian. NONE of those books are what I would have put on an Autumn TBR. Apparently I'm just flying wild without a map.

They drown are daughters sounds good. I just put it on my TBR.
