Just a quick note chap...it's a 787-8 not an 800. Looks like you had a cracking flight....lucky guy having an empty Tui flight. All the ones I've had out of my local airport have been full 🙄. Keep up the great informative videos...love em 👌

I wonder why Boeing are breaking with tradition, any ideas? It does sound more futuristic. Flight was excellent and have to really commend the crew who were just fantastic and having an empty flight was a real bonus for me to move around an film out both sides. Hi Ray, thanks for watching and commenting on this. Had a great experience and it helped even more with the fantastic cabin crew, which can really make or break a flight experience. Also helped that it was pretty much empty too which is always a bonus. Regarding cancellations, depends on which airport you are going from as I understand there are issues and have been major issues with MAN, EDI, LGW, LHR. GLA seems ok at the moment. EDI has issues with baggage. Just check social media for these and follow the news on TUI. If all else fails make sure you already have adequate travel insurance just now which covers things such as cancellations and COVID etc. Also get travel insurance which covers the other stuff like highjacks etc. Best to check with Martin Lewis website (im not affiliated at all, but hes on the TV a lot and seems to know everything). Also worth checking Which as well. Hope you have a pleasant and fun experience and have a great holiday in October too. Let us know how you get on. Thanks, Colin

thank you for this, really enjoyed, me and my son are going to punta cana on dreamliner in August for the first time, I gather its a 787-9 with the seat plan and we are at the very back so looking forward to it, just couple questions, do we need our own headsets or do they sell them, are there USB ports too, many thanks
Hi Daniel. Thanks for your comment and great to know my video was useful. Although I was on the shorter version on the 800 series, I would imagine the back of the 900 series to be similar. Just in case, please do check the TUI site for this seatplnman or even SeatGuru which is great. We had headsets given out for free, along with blankets and pillows. There is also a USB slot just underneath the screen as I was working on my laptop, however my macbook used more juice than what was being provided from the charging USB port. I have yet to finalise a video due to still editing content. May I put you in touch with www.seatguru.com/ or alternatively check with TUI website, however please do check if you are on the 787-8 or the 787-9 series as some seats do not appear on the seat guru site for TUI. Another tip of mine is, coming back on a night flight consider being seated at on the left/port side of the cabin ideally at a window seat, but clear of the wing, so you can see any Aurora that may be present in the night sky. Also get spectacular sunsets from this side of the cabin if its an afternoon departure. Hope that helps, thanks Colin
