2:59 this is certainly not what I'd expect a bunch of lads travelling to Japan to visit a railway museum to look like

Did you know every summer most rail lines in Japan open their depots and yards up for tours? Also that was just JR East's museum... Every train company has one here. Check out the one JR West has in Kyoto too. Come back and let me show y'all around next time for the channel.

Looks like a very good museum and you can take a train to a train museum which is good. We need more of this kind of transportation in the US.

I visited this museum in 2015. It was a very interesting experience. It's great that you can go inside some of the exhibits (e.g. 0 series Shinkansen & 485 series EMU). I would love to visit it again. Highly recommended.

That roundhouse room in the museum reminds me of the NRM in york but on a smaller scale and both are much are more steamlined then the Thirlmere museum down here

We felt that there were few Shinkansen exhibits, but recently the railway museum has been expanded to include the latest Shinkansen such as the E5 series.

York National Railway museum. Home to the world's fastest steam locomotive plus some other great trains and locomotives. And the fastest diesel loco class 43 if you want to see actual fast diesel trains in passenger service and will give u an Idea of Virgin trains if u actually come there.

Whilst in the UK, also head down south and visit the London Transport Museum for public transport in general. This museum does have a lot on the tube so still plenty for train enthusiasts.

Good trip report, except for the use of the racist term "gaijin". Please educate yourself about such terms, before using such racially charged language.
