Well Pat... You're 100% correct. As a choreographer and performer myself, i worked with my own group for competitions and performances. One of the hardest part is making the members be cohesive nsand act as 1. And this is due to our difference in training and background. Best dancers always stands out and gets accolade all the time. And some with lesser training looks like back ups and as you said fillers. This is what attracts me the most about BTS, they work so well together, so not unless you really have a keen eye and looked at their choregraphy like a hawk and try to find faults, you would think they have the same background. And that says a lot about Jimin and Hobi. They have so much control that they can showcase their talent and artistry and yet at the same time not overshadow the rest of the team. Do you know how hard that can be? And for the rest who doesnt have as much trainin as they do, especially for Jin and RM.. Performing at that level in the same stage as someone with so much background issss super hard. Not only do they match the energy..but they really did soooo well. I cant tell you how difficult that is. One other thing i love about them is that, yes there are other groups who can arguably dance better but tbh, you dont feel anything abt it. Why????i feel like theyre dancing for themselves. With BTS, its different, they share the stage with their audience, they enjoy the performance, they perform for their ARMY..even for some of the simpler ones, its still great because you can just feel it.

You’re giving backhanded compliments to an extent here… like saying jimin and hobi lessen their abilities bc the others aren’t as good of dancers… but hobi and jimin go full out on every single stage lol they don’t dance any differently in group dances than they do with their solo stages… however their solo stages re catered to their dance styles… which will naturally seem like a better fit…. But group dances aren’t like that… so they may not look like they stand out as much in group dances or overshadow others… bc it’s not their style. Jimin for example always looks like a contemporary dancer doing different styles of dance…. It’s very obvious with his fluidity and he uses his strength to control every movement..which can tend to make his dancing seem smaller when they’re doing explosive movements… he tends to reel in those moves while the others are exploding with full extensions… this makes him not overshadow the others bc it’s the opposite of his style. Jungkook always stands out as a dancer and he had no dance training at all before bighit…. But it’s his sheer power and precision that really fit him and def more his style… he wouldn’t be the center position for BTS if he couldn’t hold his own dancing … but he’s been the center since debut… the only one doing different dance stages with hobi and jimin… dance breaks or intros…. But there’s such a lack of appreciation for him as a dancer it’s ridiculous. Hobi came to bighit with like 7-8 years or dance training and competing? Jimin 4-5 in contemporary and hip hop….. and in 2 years… baby JK debuts on the dance line with these two extremely skilled dancers … and back then the dancers did a lot more dancing and extra special dance parts than they really have in the last few years… that’s pretty amazing and his power and passion always stand out…. Even next to two insanely skilled dancers like jimin and hobi. The lack of appreciation is annoying. I do however agree that BTS dance and perform as a unit…3J are always seen on behind the scenes stuff helping coordinate the dancing and performance parts… or helping teach the other members when they have questions. Hobi gets a lot of appreciation for that as he should since he’s their dance leader… but jimin and jk def assist and always have… probably bc of all the time they spent together in the earliest years for the special dance things… but BTS is very team oriented… and they want to give army the best experience that they can… and they know that’s a cohesive group…. Not some standing out and others barely keeping up… they’re like the ideal model for teamwork. Never seen anything like it really

Its so easy to get lost in the heat of a performance and just let all of your energy out. Its so easy not to see your team mates not catching up. Do you see them (jiminandhobi) "lessen" their ability and skills?? No they dont.. And im not saying thats what theyre doing. Im also not saying the others are not good at all. Ive watched them for years and never have i seen any of them weaken and break out of their performance. But obviously since they have diff bckgrounds, and tenure in dancing others would shine Their performance is not just abt dancing though, thats just 1 part of it all. At the 2016 MAMA awards ceremony Jimin and J-Hope dance side by side to J-Hope’s song, Boy Meets Evil. They dance in synch to J-Hope’s intense choreography from his MV. It’s powerful and absolutely mind blowing because Jimin wears a blindfold and doesn’t miss one beat. His movements exactly match J-Hope’s. Immediately after the song is over, all 7 perform Blood, Sweat, and Tears. You should react to their entire 2016 MAMA performance. You will be absolutely AMAZED. It’s definitely one of BTS’s most iconic moments. 2016 is a very special year as it’s the year that BTS won their first Daesang, or Grand prize. The looks of utter astonishment on each of the members faces is a joy to watch.
Wait until you get into Butter. You may have seen the original version, but there’s also a “Butter” (ft. Megan Thee Stallion) where JK, JHope and Jimin (dance line) called the 3J’s, do a very special performance choreo to Megan Thee Stallion’s rap piece. V also became part of the dance line later but this one was just the 3J’s. You have to add this to your Butter marathon. It’s a must, trust me. Loved your reaction to the dance practices. Dance practices are just so excellent for seeing the whole choreo. I get terrible tunnel vision though, and have to keep backing up so I can see all the members instead of just my biases. OH, the Jin/Jungkook thing... I had the hardest time telling them apart when I was new. I laughed out loud when you said to look for the boots! I wish I'd known that early on. It's no always Timberlands, but Jungkook does love big stompy boots. If you haven't chosen the videos for Butter yet (and there are SO many) I would suggest the Butter (Hotter Remix) MV. That one is chaos when you realize that the one to watch ISN'T the one in front.
The performance with the blindfold is MAMA 2016. You should absolutely watch the full live performance (around 12 min), not just Jimin's and J-Hope's part (it starts with them though). Fun fact about Suga when he joined the group he was told he would not have to dance and they lied to him. He resisted for a while but when he embraced dancing he really is a good dancer.

All of them are so incredibly talented but I don't know why my eyes are naturally drawn to Jimin 😳. He's such a stage commander with extraordinary stage presence🙌🏻. I would love to see more of him🔥
I am totally OT7 but when they dance as a group, while I do watch the person in the center, my eyes always end up landing on Jimin. He is so graceful. But they all dance so well together and really shine as a group.

You watch BTS videos the same way I do…with that sitting in the chair choreography! 😂😂 love the dance practices because you can really see each member giving their all as well as the many dance moves you don’t get to see in a mv or when the camera is panning around everywhere. What is so amazing about the guys is that only two of them could dance that was jimin and jhope. Jk was taken to New yoirk to train. jin had to learn to dance and sing. rm v and suga had to learn to dance. The other thing is that up until the end of 2020 Suga was dancing with a badly injured shoulder , he danced for years with his injury.
Suga recently mentioned that one of the reasons they work so well together is that they each have a thing they excel at and none of the others get in the way of that. I am completely paraphrasing, but it totally matched what you said. I recently saw an interview with Son Sung Deuk who mentioned that at the beginning, it was all about uniformity. Eventually they decided it was better to let the individual members’ “charms” (his word not mine) shine through in the dancing. I love that. It’s especially let Jimin, Hobi, and even V add a little of their own thing to the choreo. Hell, Jimin threw in a one handed cartwheel to move to his place from the floor to standing during black swan during the PTD concerts. He hardly ever just steps to his next position - he usually does something to connect going from one to the other, but that was a new one. His connection between moves is also a strength of his. V is a delight when he loves a specific choreo. The joy just bursts out of him. And Hobi has no bones. ‘Nuff said. But, as @joyettemj77 mentioned, they also have the control to pull that individuality back when they need to. To head off a reply I see coming, that is not a knock on JK. He’s an excellent dancer, and I especially love when he’s free to dance around the stage because he just goes all out. He just tends to stick to the choreo which does showcase his power at times. Nothing wrong with that. Also, Suga is a completely underrated dancer. He’s really good (not a knock on the others). I have mad respect for Jin and RM for putting in the extra time and practice to get to where they are. They worked hard and it shows in how solid they are. Whenever I see anyone give any crap about them not being as good, my response is always, you try dancing next to a Jimin or a Hobi and see how you look.

You're not being shady at all lol it's the truth. There's other groups where the saving grace is just 1 or 2 members who can carry the rest of the group. BTS is the only one who have 7 different members contributing 7 different things but they all come together and it just works.

The performance where Jimin is blindfolded is mama 2016. the whole performance is boy meets evil (jhope), Lie (Jimin), into blood sweat and tears, and then fire. so i would watch boy meets evil, and fire and listen to Lie (no mv for that one just a short film that doesnt include the whole song) and then watch the whole performance

Crazy for him to debut as the center of BTS … while also debuting as the main vocalist, only vocalist who is a sub rapper and lead dancer on the dance line with dance legends jhope and jimin after only training for like 2 years. I mean he had no vocal training, no dance training and no rap training before he came to bighit lol he was still in friggin middle school!!! Those are huge roles to fill on stage for such a youngster and the maknae. I think ppl forget that bc you’ll hear other members being mentioned bc they had no vocal or dance training and how they’ve grown over the years… but bc jk debuted in high positions … ppl forget that jk joined bighit after the hyung line w no training … so he’s technically had less dance training that the hyung line… and less vocal training than Jin …. Just crazy. I think this group is different than other groups honestly.. and it starts from their genuine bond. All groups like and love each other, live together and so on… but considering how BTS started…. It’s like you couldn’t make this shit up for a kind of rags to riches story …. In the standard way… but also how they have always been how they are today. They’ve always wanted to be voices for the youth… to help heal others with their lyrics, their content and just their genuine interaction with army. It’s just something you can’t replicate even if you tried… bc to be honest there are other groups who may have better vocalists or dancers… and they’ll wow you… but BTS just hit different. They make you feel things, accept things and grow … you don’t really know them totally yet… but you’ll see old behind the scenes and behold the scenes now… there’s very little change lol in the best way… theyre an inspiration… they still come on livestreams after a concert or an award show to say hi and thank army for the support. They don’t have to do that stuff anymore ya know? But they still do… now we have jungkook coming live to sing to us, cook with us, drink with us and hear him say he can’t sleep so he comes live bc he feels more comfortable with army than he does around his acquaintances… that’s crazy. Now the dude literally came live bc he dreamt about army… and couldn’t go back to sleep… but he said he feels comfy and hopefully he’s fall asleep… and sure as shit… this man was live with 7 million ppl and fell asleep for like 20 min before someone turned it off 😂 they’re just very rare and special… but it’s just as much the individuals as it is the group… these guys were destiny and that’s something I didn’t believe in before BTS lol

Hello everyone, First off Great Reaction, This is the Song (DNA) that made Me Army back in 2017 when they Performed it at the VMA’s!! Second and this is not meant to be a downer but Every time I watch older Dance practices I always remember that Suga did it all with His Shoulder Injury, I believe there Was something going on with Jin at The Time as Well cause I also remember the Original Format for ( The Dance Practice I’m fine) Had originally Been Jin and Jhope holding up V ( just saw that in last years festa when they released the Dance Practice ) but then it Switched to Jhope and Suga holding up V, I know that format Changed way before they released The I’m Fine Dance practice, because it was Jhope and Suga that held V up when they performed that song on Jimmy Fallon, all the Members have been through so Much and Their Fair Share of injuries, I just couldn’t help but mention it when I rewatched this Reaction. They have been through so much and Remain So down to earth . Great Reaction 💜
I don’t know if there’s a jimin and jhope compilation…. There’s a 3J compilation on ida s page which is the dance line.. jhope jimin and jungkook. V became dance line ig in 2018 after singularity and 3j has done a bunch of dance intros, dance breaks or dance performances but they hadn’t done any since v joined the dance line…. But the dancers got together to do a dance video to Meg the stallions verse in butter remix… which they filmed and then released the behind the scenes of them filming this short like 20 second dance and they did SO many takes to try and perfect it until they were happy with it … and it would have been vs first dance line video to do but it was just jhope jimin and jungkook again… so I duno. BTS are definitely all great dancers…. The dance line are more passionate about dance, put more hours outside of group stuff into being better dancers bc they enjoy it … so of course the ones more interested in it are going to be a bit better… and that’s okay. They don’t need to all be the same level as long as they put the work in and show up for the group.. and they all do! Ppl can be weird about needing them all to be the same level of good dancers bc it hurts army feelings who have non dancer biases…. But it would be dismissive and disrespectful not to acknowledge that the ones who are passionate about dancing and have put in extra hours becoming better….of course are the ones who stand out a bit.
I have to ask you about Jimin, you do know that Jimin is Black Swan, he's the only member who is classically trained and was top student he learned popping and locking and is also a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. There is a video of Jimin behind the scenes rehearsing his moves for black Swan. He is pure art and does deserve to be noticed

They were aggressive in pretense... as a Hip Hop group. That slowly changes after AHL - 'Write about what you know and be yourself.' "stay dedicated to your crafts" and to continue with music "because you love it." Coolio Black Swan : If you notice, they are wearing the same clothes and are in the same place to which they practiced and learned ON with the band. Dance practices are just so excellent for seeing the whole choreo. I get terrible tunnel vision though, and have to keep backing up so I can see all the members instead of just my biases. OH, the Jin/Jungkook thing... I had the hardest time telling them apart when I was new. I laughed out loud when you said to look for the boots! I wish I'd known that early on. It's no always Timberlands, but Jungkook does love big stompy boots. If you haven't chosen the videos for Butter yet (and there are SO many) I would suggest the Butter (Hotter Remix) MV. That one is chaos when you realize that the one to watch ISN'T the one in front.
Their footwork is amazing that's what attracted me to them and everything else came into play for me.

What is so amazing about the guys is that only two of them could dance that was jimin and jhope. Jk was taken to New yoirk to train. jin had to learn to dance and sing.
rm v and suga had to learn to dance. The other thing is that up until the end of 2020 Suga was dancing with a badly injured shoulder , he danced for years with his injury.

Suga recently mentioned that one of the reasons they work so well together is that they each have a thing they excel at and none of the others get in the way of that. I am completely paraphrasing, but it totally matched what you said.
I recently saw an interview with Son Sung Deuk who mentioned that at the beginning, it was all about uniformity. Eventually they decided it was better to let the individual members’ “charms” (his word not mine) shine through in the dancing. I love that. It’s especially let Jimin, Hobi, and even V add a little of their own thing to the choreo. Hell, Jimin threw in a one handed cartwheel to move to his place from the floor to standing during black swan during the PTD concerts. He hardly ever just steps to his next position - he usually does something to connect going from one to the other, but that was a new one. His connection between moves is also a strength of his. V is a delight when he loves a specific choreo. The joy just bursts out of him. And Hobi has no bones. ‘Nuff said. But, as @joyettemj77 mentioned, they also have the control to pull that individuality back when they need to.
To head off a reply I see coming, that is not a knock on JK. He’s an excellent dancer, and I especially love when he’s free to dance around the stage because he just goes all out. He just tends to stick to the choreo which does showcase his power at times. Nothing wrong with that.
Also, Suga is a completely underrated dancer. He’s really good (not a knock on the others). I have mad respect for Jin and RM for putting in the extra time and practice to get to where they are. They worked hard and it shows in how solid they are. Whenever I see anyone give any crap about them not being as good, my response is always, you try dancing next to a Jimin or a Hobi and see how you look.
Epic dance practice choices. Baby bangtan was so aggressive. The other two are just top tier. The Jimin JHope blindfold was the 2016 mma award show I think.

Crazy for him to debut as the center of BTS … while also debuting as the main vocalist, only vocalist who is a sub rapper and lead dancer on the dance line with dance legends jhope and jimin after only training for like 2 years. I mean he had no vocal training, no dance training and no rap training before he came to bighit lol he was still in friggin middle school!!! Those are huge roles to fill on stage for such a youngster and the maknae. I think ppl forget that bc you’ll hear other members being mentioned bc they had no vocal or dance training and how they’ve grown over the years… but bc jk debuted in high positions … ppl forget that jk joined bighit after the hyung line w no training … so he’s technically had less dance training that the hyung line… and less vocal training than Jin …. Just crazy.
I think this group is different than other groups honestly.. and it starts from their genuine bond. All groups like and love each other, live together and so on… but considering how BTS started…. It’s like you couldn’t make this shit up for a kind of rags to riches story …. In the standard way… but also how they have always been how they are today. They’ve always wanted to be voices for the youth… to help heal others with their lyrics, their content and just their genuine interaction with army. It’s just something you can’t replicate even if you tried… bc to be honest there are other groups who may have better vocalists or dancers… and they’ll wow you… but BTS just hit different. They make you feel things, accept things and grow … you don’t really know them totally yet… but you’ll see old behind the scenes and behold the scenes now… there’s very little change lol in the best way… theyre an inspiration… they still come on livestreams after a concert or an award show to say hi and thank army for the support. They don’t have to do that stuff anymore ya know? But they still do… now we have jungkook coming live to sing to us, cook with us, drink with us and hear him say he can’t sleep so he comes live bc he feels more comfortable with army than he does around his acquaintances… that’s crazy. Now the dude literally came live bc he dreamt about army… and couldn’t go back to sleep… but he said he feels comfy and hopefully he’s fall asleep… and sure as shit… this man was live with 7 million ppl and fell asleep for like 20 min before someone turned it off 😂 they’re just very rare and special… but it’s just as much the individuals as it is the group… these guys were destiny and that’s something I didn’t believe in before BTS lol

Hello everyone, First off Great Reaction, This is the Song (DNA) that made Me Army back in 2017 when they Performed it at the VMA’s!! Second and this is not meant to be a downer but Every time I watch older Dance practices I always remember that Suga did it all with His Shoulder Injury, I believe there Was something going on with Jin at The Time as Well cause I also remember the Original Format for ( The Dance Practice I’m fine) Had originally Been Jin and Jhope holding up V ( just saw that in last years festa when they released the Dance Practice ) but then it Switched to Jhope and Suga holding up V, I know that format Changed way before they released The I’m Fine Dance practice, because it was Jhope and Suga that held V up when they performed that song on Jimmy Fallon, all the Members have been through so Much and Their Fair Share of injuries, I just couldn’t help but mention it when I rewatched this Reaction. They have been through so much and Remain So down to earth . Great Reaction 💜
I don’t know if there’s a jimin and jhope compilation…. There’s a 3J compilation on ida s page which is the dance line.. jhope jimin and jungkook. V became dance line ig in 2018 after singularity and 3j has done a bunch of dance intros, dance breaks or dance performances but they hadn’t done any since v joined the dance line…. But the dancers got together to do a dance video to Meg the stallions verse in butter remix… which they filmed and then released the behind the scenes of them filming this short like 20 second dance and they did SO many takes to try and perfect it until they were happy with it … and it would have been vs first dance line video to do but it was just jhope jimin and jungkook again… so I duno. BTS are definitely all great dancers…. The dance line are more passionate about dance, put more hours outside of group stuff into being better dancers bc they enjoy it … so of course the ones more interested in it are going to be a bit better… and that’s okay. They don’t need to all be the same level as long as they put the work in and show up for the group.. and they all do! Ppl can be weird about needing them all to be the same level of good dancers bc it hurts army feelings who have non dancer biases…. But it would be dismissive and disrespectful not to acknowledge that the ones who are passionate about dancing and have put in extra hours becoming better….of course are the ones who stand out a bit.
I have to ask you about Jimin, you do know that Jimin is Black Swan, he's the only member who is classically trained and was top student he learned popping and locking and is also a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. There is a video of Jimin behind the scenes rehearsing his moves for black Swan. He is pure art and does deserve to be noticed
