Rhamphorhynchus is one of the next upcoming playables coming to path of titans as an official creature, this is something that was part of the games crowdfunding campaign coming in as a stretch goal after leedsichthys and the gondwa map, today i am showcasing the creature, what it could be like and when i think it is coming to path of titans.

Path of Titans is an upcoming MMO RPG Dinosaur survival game, created by Alderon Games. The game has been in production for just over a year and is already looking set to become one of the most successful dinosaur games of all time.
Path of Titans is set to enter early access in September 2020 and has already racked up over $300,000 from crowdfunding. It has an extremely dedicated community and a dedicated team of developers who are providing huge amounts of content for us.

I would
2 things about the real Rhamphorhynchus that can benefit for the game version.
1: The scleral rings ( rings of bone in the eye sockets) are similar to those of nocturnal seabirds & reptiles. So it would be like a flying Latenivenatrix, having night time abilities.
2: The body design is actually made well for swimming as well as flight; so making it a better swimmer than Thalassodromeus, with better oxygen would help immensely!
3: Due to some research ; ( although more studies need to be done to be sure); Rhamphorhynchus is cold-blooded, so giving it a sunbathing ability to increase its stamina recovery, or attack strength would be nice.
Honestly, because of how small Rhamphorhynchus is (and assuming it'll be just as small in the game), I'm still surprised it's going to be a playable species, rather than an AI Pterosaurs for the likes of Thalassodromeus or Hatzegopteryx to prey on? And I could say the same about Microraptor too.

If you go on community servers, the Compsognathus ( Compy) is now a playable mod.
Yes they don’t have much health, but seriously, they are a menace!
Especially when they decide to attack you while your sleeping, resting, healing, or in the middle of a losing fight.
Im most lookng forward to rhamp more than any other playable to be honest! playing a speedy little guy and being silly and people watching is my favorite thing!!! plus it looks like a little wyvern and I think thats adorable!

Rhamphorhynchus and Microraptor being in the game is a good reminder that this is a survival game first with PvP mechanics. Some people are more into sneaking about, eavesdropping, and being chased and these creatures will likely be great way to achieve that experience.
Can’t wait for micro or rhamp because they just have so much potential to be way more different than the other dinosaurs

It would be cool of a mechanic for rhamphorynchus to be able to cling onto large herbivores like a bird in africa (idk what it is called)

@@T-REX-KNIGHT mabye a way to combat this is having one on a herbie reduces a small amount of incoming damage
like herbie reduces incoming damage by 10%-15%

I’m really excited for ramph , all I hope is that thalasso is reworked to be like actual thalassodromeus, AKA not a sea-pterosaur and better at ground combat, and then rampho can take over that sea-pterosaur role better.
mhm i think they made thal to potentially be a inbetween, decent at sea and land stuff, where as hatz would be land and rhamph will be ocean
@@VelocciYT I have to agree on this one. Thal is almost definitely the 'all-rounder'.
Finally I waited so long for any news on this little guy. Out of all the creatures that will be added to gondwa , this one is my favorite and the one im most exited for.
I absolutely can't wait for this lil bug; I love fliers and small dinos in PoT & BoB, so this will be absolutely perfect for me.

Pterosaurs are one of my favorite prehistoric creatures and Ramph is one of my favorites amongst the Pterosaurs! I can’t wait for it to be added!
I have a feeling it will be slightly oversized to make room for Microraptor being the smallest playable, but it will still be small. I hope it does low damage, but decent bleed when in groups. Mainly just a PvE fisher though and hopefully more agile and faster than Thal
Ramph is gonna be like the compys of the sky which will be very fun. I can imagine just picking on a argent with a huge group of ramphs lol
I like that the Thalassodromeus can dive but I think Rhamphorhynchus should skim, and not be the best swimmer but able to spec into a swimmer or land base stuff.
I agree with Velocci that it should clime and rid other dinosaurs.

I love the little weak things that should not be threat to anything. And it riding on dinosaurs would be amazing. Perhaps it could feed on blood? Like I just want to be a parasitic pest. Could be a whole mechanic thing to make it fun and different to play. Don't need to kill your victim if you can sit on it and eat it while it's alive. It could cause strong bleed like you said, with an ability that slows down blood from coagulating. ( like saliva of mosquitoes or vampire bats)

Rhamphorynchus is a small pterosaur that had the longest tail and it had sharp teeth it fed on fish and squid and it lived on coasts on cliffs and would clean teeth of bigger theropod dinosaurs it will be fun to play as in path of titans it’ll probably be paired with tylosaurus or leedsichthys and will be released soon I agree to everything you say about it because rhamphorynchus is awesome
Another mechanic that could be really cool for Rhamphorhynchus:
Being able to land/perch on the backs of large herbivores and eat off bugs and other small parasites. They were thought to have symbiotic relationships like this irl and it could perhaps give the herbivore a small buff of some kind (in return for the easy meal and free ride).
I think an awesome ability for ramp would be for it to fly into and grapple onto the side of a dinosaur and use its teeth to cause bleed damage on its victims, similar to how a raptor pounce might work! It is the only one out of the main 3 pterosaurs to actually have teeth, so this could be a unique ability for it to have out of the other two!
Im excited for the little Rhamp. Flying around is one of my favourite things in the game. Heehee

I imagine while Rhamp will be a flyer obviously. I predict that it will much more water based then Thalass. Since Thalass is even split between water and air. I think Rhamp will be able to stay underwater far longer and will the fastest swimmer between it and Thalass. I think like Thalass Rhamp will get bite streamlined and possibly webbed feet.

I think having squishy dinos to play as helps bring realism and immersion into the world of PoTs.
If EVERYONE played as apex predators or apex herbivores, it would be boring and would only merge into a pvp fighting game. Nothing wrong with that, but for dino nerds, we like immersing into our little dino lives as if it’s real. Just me?
Furthermore it just gives ppl more options. Get good at your dinos I’m sure it has strengths that others don’t have. I love that we’re getting small dinos. It gives the game depth and variety and best of all LIFE. ❤
I'll def be playing as it. I love tiny creatures. And I'm looking forward to playing it and excited to play as it! I adore their tail tip and imsginging to be a flying tiny creature id gonna be fun and terrfying of anyone trying to eat you experience.

The idea of the ability to sit on bigger dinos is actually believable, and it could give the Rampho or the Micro their niche: like in real life birds helps bigger mammals to stay clean, same may happen for one of the two mini dinos, like: having it on you will give you faster health regeneration. Another option, is the opposite: the vampire ability. If you are injured the mini dino can suck health from you, albeit small (if you are bleeding, it's doubled, why not?). That would be quite annoying for the biggest dinos.
I’ve always been excited for Rhamphorynchus! It’s one of my favorite pterosaurs, and I like to play as the small/fast dinos AND I always like flying in games, so it’s definitely for me.

I really like speedy creatures, that are able to dodge attacks and stuff, but i dont think i would actually play rampho, cause im an absolute brawler and... i think it might be too small for that. But i will at least try it out for once!

Im probably most excited for this.
There are still 8 planned dinosaurs and 5 of them are aquatic or flyer. So Rhamphor will be released until early/mid summer with 1 aquatic (and i hope it will be the Eurhinosaurus :) If not, then at the end of the year with the next releasing.
And the remaining dinos will be released until the end of 2024.
That's what I think.

They make the enviorment more lively.
I’ll love the rhamphorhynchus to be here but they rlly need to added eating from Dino’s teeth because that will be the best way also eating bugs from sauropods

It’d be cool if the Rhamp could eat little bits of meat out of the larger carnivores teeth while they rested, which would add like a symbiotic relationship and a reason for bigger Dino’s to keep them around.
I can’t wait for the whole game to be finished with the backer Dino’s because then they could slowly add new Dino’s that we won’t expect adding more theory on what it could be which is always fun to talk about with friends

I will only play this if it either doesnt drain stam while gliding or even regains it. you still need to land for food and water so i dont get why it isnt done with thalasso. Also the devs need to rework the flying mechanics badly. cant even glide properly. you dont even keep your momentum. you just loose speed till you slowly float down like a parachute.

Velocci. Some of the images you showed are of David Peters, an extremely questionable person with a lot of incorrect information. I do not recommend taking anything that is said by him or that is on his blog (pterosaur heresies) seriously.
Now talking about the game itself. I hope Rhamphorynchus has a dive mechanic like the Thalassodromeus rather than having a skimming mechanic and I imagine it would have insectivore as a secondary diet. Because I don't see much point in this creature having the hypercanivore diet.

It'll be the thlasso but smaller, weaker, and has the same hissing noises as all of the other creatures in the game.
And they will collect 20,000 acorns to go from juvenile to adolescent.
And it'll have a strong tail attack.

I dunno what it is but I find this game pretty boring. I think it's mainly due to some of the maps and no dinosaur AI to make the game feel more alive.
Plus I hope they add tarbosaurus since he is my favourite apex.
