To hear him actually say he needs to aim thinner on balls down cushions to make that pot actually impressed me. I dunno how much Neil has played pool before but that was an insightful observation that most player's wouldn't consider.
I remember he was playing a snooker tournament in Thailand recently and due to the humidity, side was responding differently to normal, and he basically chose to play almost all of his shots with no side. The ability of these pros to adjust their game like that on the fly is incredible. Also their ability to see the slide off the cushions and adjust.
@@MichaelScerri147 I can easily see you doing segments for the big comps like Townsville Open, Geelong, Johnny Walker, Berri Open etc like Karl Boyes kinda thing.
I thought he messed it up taking the yellow in the middle before taking the yellow tight on the cushion. But he got perfect position from that tight yellow. Best shot of the frame.
I think what made the long yellow makeable was, it was just off straight. Still a great shot and finish though. He sure did make it look easy 😄Scary thing is, he didn't always get perfect position and still found a way to finish. @@MichaelScerri147
The last time I played Steve Gray was at Warragul in a Country Cup tournament many years ago. He had the break and potted all his balls and left the 8 ball over the pocket. I had a couple of easy pots and then very little else. I managed to take a few balls off the rails whilst potting and was left with two balls - one was an easy pot and the other was nearly impossible to pot unless I kicked it with the cue ball after potting the easy ball. After studying the table for some time I realised I had no hope whatsoever. I hit my second last ball without any thought and it swerved into my last ball kicking it out for an easy pot and a win for me. Steve spoke to me after the game and remarked that I must have put an enormous amount of screw on the cue ball. I politely agreed with him having absolutely no idea what I had done😁
Love the Seinfeld reference as well, was that big in Australia by the way, as never took off here in the UK... but obv in America its almost as big most religions.
Reds were nice and easy I would choose them cause I wouldn't do to much fixing balls with cue ball but bro is a pro you can just tell he went for the most complicated balls the yellows 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That was a great clearance off the break. i love watching established snooker pros playing pool.
Yeah it’s nice to watch

Good luck to both of you, Michael and Neil
Thanks legend
Neil’s one of the most underrated to pick up a cue. So good
👌🏼🤩
What a great video. Watching Neil play when i was younger is actually one of the reasons i got into cue sports.
Wow that’s good
The pool was great, but the insight from the questions was awesome. Also nice to see Neil and Mark side by side :)
Cheers mate 👌🏼
Nice to Neil play a bit of pool. He’s a good player overall. Would be nice to see him get back to his best at snooker 👍🏻🍀
Fingers crossed 🤞
The thing with Neil over other snooker players is he understands patterns of the game. Obvs played a bit of pool when younger.
Agree 👍
Amazing, good stuff
😊
You might need to take this show on the road Mick.
Scerri on the road haha

Another great video, thanks Mick
Thanks Steve hope you’re well 👊🏽

You kept your "promise". I asked for somebody like Neil in your videos. :-) Thumbs up!
Your wish is my command 🍺
@@MichaelScerri147 I met Neil Robertson at the German Masters (2022?). He's indeed as nice as he comes across here.
@@lanternman13 sure is 👌🏼
That was excellent! Not bad for a bloke who doesn't often play 8 ball :).
Yeah was great to see.

12 minute and about 60 seconds of pool playing. Ha. Anyway great video.

I remember that potters comp very well. Neil touched me up 3-0 in about 3 minutes 😬
Haha
Yeah baby 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🍻
Nice. Did you play any frames against him? If so let’s see ‘em 🙂
No I didn’t but there is more to come 😁
❤❤
👌🏼
The big question though Michael: Did Neil get his turkey sandwich? Happy New Year all the best for 2024!
Haha cheers legend
Such a nice dude 👌
Thanks mate I try my best 😆
👌❤
👌🏼🎱
Steve Gray is still around? Maybe I'm thinking of another Steve Gray...I think the one I'm thinking of may have played snooker for Cheltenham.
Yeah different guy
@@MichaelScerri147 funny that, I think the one I'm thinking of may have coached your fellow Maltese buddy Steve Mifsud in the late 90s

Why not you do a long vidéo ?
There is still two more to come. Plus people’s attention spans are short haha
Много болтают. Сразу к делу, ребята

Far to long discussions on pots. Waste of time watching.
Thanks for your positive feedback 👍
